Vinyl & Vision is a podcast that takes an artist and asks them to choose an album that was important or influential to their art. The conversation is then lead by the content of the chosen album.
V&V Ep. 142 Joe Cannon (Resurrectionists) and Grifters' One Sock Missing
Joe Cannon is a multi talented musician who's been cranking away for over 30 years through multiple projects. The band he's been fronting now for some years is Resurrectionists, who I've been hearing about for a couple of years now. Great band who have a great new album out called Double EP, because(you guessed it!) it's two EPs on one vinyl album. Great material and a great entry point for new fans to experience a bit of most of what they do with their music. If you'd like to hear it yourself tap this link:
https://resurrectionistsmke.bandcamp.com/album/double-ep
Their music can also me found on just about any music streaming service you prefer.
A kind of mixed genre bag, similar to that of The Grifters' and their album One Sock Missing that Joe and I discuss. If you're not familiar with Grifters or One Sock Missing, please do yourself the favor, and go listen to it! It's pretty mind blowing.

V&V Ep. 141 Scott Levesque (Skyjelly/Wheat) discusses Red Red Meat's Bunny Gets Paid
Here's a wonderful conversation with a guy who doesn't do interviews very often, nor do I personally know of him doing any other long form interview. So this was a great opportunity to speak with Scott Levesque of Wheat, whom I've been a fan of for a very long time. Wheat was certainly more of a pop band, and I don't usually get to speak with many pop acts, but Scott is an exception to this not only because I'm a fan, but also because Wheat was never just a pop act. They have always had this weirdness to their music that may have been part in why they were never able to break big in the music biz. But with enough sensibilities to rub elbows with some of the greatest acts of their era like The Flaming Lips and more importantly, the topic of discussion today, Red Red Meat and their seminal album Bunny Gets Paid. So this was a pretty interesting one.If you've happened to miss Wheat, catch up here:https://www.thiswheat.com (https://www.thiswheat.com/)
Scott's new project, Skyjelly, is different than what Wheat was, but not too far off. If you're a fan of Wheat or of Bunny Gets Paid, you should give them a listen here:https://skyjelly.bandcamp.com/music (https://skyjelly.bandcamp.com/music)
And Scott is also a very talented painter. Please check out his art here:https://www.instagram.com/slevesque_art/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet (https://www.instagram.com/slevesque_art/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet)
