Ein neues Zeckenvirus sorgt in Österreich für Schlagzeilen: Das Alongshan-Virus wurde erstmals in heimischen Zecken nachgewiesen und bei zwei Personen fanden sich Antikörper, ein Hinweis auf durchgemachte Infektionen. Florian Krammer erklärt, was dieses Virus so ungewöhnlich macht: Es gehört zu den Jingmen-Viren, einer Gruppe segmentierter Flaviviren, die wie ein Hybrid aus Flavi- und Influenzaviren aufgebaut sind.
