About Voice Notes to the Universe
You have entered the house of the mystic. All are welcome. Except vampires. Fuck vampires. We don't like their kind here. Unless, of course, they pinky promise not to bite. Though I cannot promise the same. Anyhoo... Welcome. Fair warning: it's a little messy in here. A little chaotic. Not always fit for company. But it's lived-in. It's warm. It's cozy. And it's safe enough to be human in. These are my voice notes to the Universe. Recorded on my phone, wherever I happen to be when something moves through me: a thought, a question, a realization, a story, some shit I'm trying to work through, or one of those moments when the Universe whispers something and I think: Well, fuck. I should probably press record. This is a podcast about navigating our humanness. The rawness. The messiness. The beauty. The shadow and the light. The sacred and the profane. The moments of profound clarity and the moments when we don't have a fucking clue what we're doing. I talk about spirituality. Healing. Relationships. Sex. Shame. Addiction. Creativity. Grief. Our bodies. The nervous system. The Universe. And whatever else wanders through the door that day. Sometimes I start recording because I think I know what I want to talk about. Ten minutes later I'm standing somewhere completely different wondering how the fuck we got here. That's kind of the point. I don't have all the answers. In fact, I don't believe it's my job to have all the answers. I'm much more interested in the questions. Can shadow and light exist at the same time? Can something be sacred and completely fucking ridiculous? Can I be deeply spiritual and still make questionable decisions? Can I love the woman I'm becoming without rejecting the woman I am today? Can I hold all of it—the divine and the deeply human—and somehow become the devil's advocate and divine intervention in one seamless breath? I don't know. Let's find out. There are no polished versions of healing here. No pretending I've figured it all out before I press record. You may hear birds. Cars. Wind. People. Long pauses. Me forgetting what the fuck I was talking about. Possibly an inappropriate joke. Occasionally an existential crisis. That's life happening in real time. Because I'm beginning to believe the mess isn't interrupting the transmission. Sometimes the mess is where the transmission happens. The house of the mystic isn't a pristine temple where everyone whispers and pretends they've transcended being human. Apparently there's weed in the kitchen, beet juice on the counter, somebody's crying in one room, somebody's contemplating the nature of existence in another, and I've wandered off halfway through a sentence because Spirit just showed me a tree. So come in. Bring your questions. Your contradictions. Your shadow and your light. You don't have to leave your humanness at the door. Actually, I'd prefer you didn't. Just remember the house rules. Be curious. Be kind. Be human. And for fuck's sake, don't bite anybody without consent. These are my voice notes to the Universe. And somehow, they found their way to you.

Voice Note #129 — You Are My King. You Are My Emperor.
VOICE NOTE #129 — You Are My King. You Are My Emperor. Something beautiful is happening within me. A coming together. A softening. A remembrance. After years of inner exploration, spiritual awakening, and learning to love the pieces of myself I once struggled to understand, I'm beginning to experience something that feels like a deeper union within myself. And it's making me look at everything differently. Especially the relationship between my inner divine masculine and divine feminine. Because for a very long time, one part of me has been running the show. Protect. Provide. Work harder. Keep going. Good Lord, that man is exhausted. And perhaps it's time for my feminine to return the love, compassion, and devotion he's spent so long giving her. What would happen if the protector finally allowed himself to be protected? If doing and being could exist in harmony? If the king and the oracle learned to listen to one another? And what might that inner relationship teach us about the love and partnership we create in the world around us? I don't have all the answers. But I am beginning to see something beautiful. And somewhere along the way, apparently, I've also become the Web Whisperer. Anyhoo. 😂 TAKEAWAYS Awakening can be an invitation to remember, question, listen, and expand our perspectives Unconditional love and healthy boundaries can coexist Masculine and feminine energies can be explored as complementary qualities within ourselves, regardless of gender The part of us that protects and provides may also need rest, compassion, and support Inner union can offer a meaningful framework for exploring reciprocity, devotion, and partnership CHAPTERS 00:02 — A Beautiful Inner Union 02:50 — Awakening, Remembrance, and Expanding Consciousness 06:08 — Unconditional Love, Boundaries, and Forgiveness 08:56 — Finding Reverence in the Difficult Moments 12:34 — Understanding the Masculine and Feminine Within 17:57 — Giving My Feminine the Love She Needed 19:12 — My Soft Girl Era and the Web Whisperer 21:35 — When the Protector Doesn't Know How to Rest 23:30 — The King, the Oracle, and Divine Partnership 26:16 — A Golden Infinity Loop of Love and Reciprocity Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #128 — I'm Open to Perhaps Entertaining the Thought... of Dating?
VOICE NOTE #128 — I'm Open to Perhaps Entertaining the Thought... of Dating? Apparently, I'm considering dating again. Good Lord. I'm a hopeless romantic. A lover girl. A woman who loves love. And also a woman who might need a minute if someone actually gets close enough to love her. Because here's the thing. I want a man who's grounded, intentional, emotionally available, consistent, and willing to work through the uncomfortable stuff. Sounds reasonable, right? Until I start asking myself whether I'm embodying those same qualities within my own life. Well, shit. And then there's the rather inconvenient realization that the kind of man who might actually make me feel safe is also the kind of man who intimidates the absolute hell out of me. So now I'm wondering... What does it look like to let someone get close when part of me still wants to run? How do I practice intimacy when I've spent so much time protecting myself from it? And can two imperfect people come together, acknowledge their wounds, and choose to explore something beautiful anyway? I don't know. But apparently, I'm a little more open to finding out. Good golly, Miss Molly. TAKEAWAYS Wanting intimacy and feeling afraid of it can coexist The qualities we desire in a partner can invite us to explore those same qualities within ourselves Familiarity and emotional safety aren't necessarily the same thing Healing in solitude is different from practicing vulnerability with another person Honest communication, consistency, and accountability can help create space for connection CHAPTERS 00:02 — Dating Apps, Lover Girls, and Reciprocity 02:09 — Lowering the Walls, Brick by Brick 04:35 — Coyotes, Cemeteries, and Dating in the Wild 06:24 — What Do I Actually Want in a Partner? 09:45 — Does My Inner Masculine Embody Those Qualities? 13:16 — Two Different Roads to Love 16:15 — Why Does a Grounded Man Intimidate Me? 17:46 — I Might Pull Away, But Please Don't Go Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #127 — Wait, I'm the Problem?!
VOICE NOTE #127 — Wait, I'm the Problem?! Well, here's an uncomfortable little plot twist. What happens when you realize that maybe you're the emotionally unavailable one? Wait. WHAT? After years of healing, solitude, shadow work, and learning to love myself, I'm discovering that perhaps the walls I built to protect my heart have become the very things keeping me from opening it. Because there's only so much healing we can do in isolation. Eventually, baby, you've gotta' come out of hibernation. And when familiar patterns start showing up with different faces, maybe it's not another test from the Universe. Maybe it's an opportunity to practice everything we've been learning. To get curious. To do something differently. To let ourselves be seen. To trust ourselves enough to put down the armor. And perhaps, while we're waiting for the next chapter to unfold, we can stop trying to figure everything out and remember to play a little. Because sometimes you just have to believe. TAKEAWAYS The walls that once protected us can eventually keep us from connecting Healing in solitude and practicing healing in relationships are different experiences Familiar patterns can become opportunities for curiosity and integration We can acknowledge our shadows while still choosing love Trusting ourselves doesn't require having everything figured out CHAPTERS 00:02 — Wait. Am I the Emotionally Unavailable One? 02:50 — Wanting Love and Pushing It Away 05:51 — Sitting in the Void 09:16 — When the Walls That Protected You Become the Walls That Hold You Back 10:33 — Sensitivity, Solitude, and Connection 13:19 — Calling All the Pieces of Myself Home 15:42 — Same Energy, Different Face 20:09 — Curiosity, Practice, and Learning to Believe Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #126—Why Does Taking Care of Myself Feel Like a Chore?
CONTENT NOTE: This episode contains discussion of childhood abuse, traumatic memories, and childhood shaming. VOICE NOTE #126 — Why Does Taking Care of Myself Feel Like a Chore? I'm sitting in my car crying like a little kid. I'm exhausted. Not the kind of tired that sleep fixes. The kind where your soul feels tired. And somewhere between the grief, the anger, the financial pressure, the coping mechanisms I know aren't helping me, and my frustration with myself for not somehow handling all of this better, I started wondering: What if this is the loop? What if it's the pressure I keep putting on myself to have it all together? To be perfect. To get over it. To not be so sensitive. To not need so much care. And then another question found me. Why does taking care of myself feel like such a chore? Maybe because somewhere along the way, I learned that I was one. That I was difficult. Too sensitive. Too much. A lot to deal with. And maybe that voice I've been hearing all this time isn't even mine. Huh. I hadn't quite thought about it like that. TAKEAWAYS • Understanding our feelings doesn't necessarily make them easier to carry • Sometimes the loop may be the pressure we put on ourselves to get out of the loop • The way we speak to ourselves can carry voices we learned long ago • Needing care doesn't have to mean being a burden CHAPTERS 00:01 — Crying Like a Little Kid 01:58 — Why Can't You Just Get Over It? 03:09 — When Your Soul Is Tired 04:59 — I Feel Like a Little Kid 06:13 — Maybe This Is the Karmic Loop 07:09 — Crying for the Little Girl 08:49 — Why Does Taking Care of Myself Feel Like a Chore? Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #125 — I'm Just a Curious Being.
VOICE NOTE #125 — I'm Just a Curious Being Sometimes it feels so hard to be human. Maybe that's why I'm always asking questions. I can look up at an airplane and suddenly I'm wondering where everyone is going. Are they newlyweds? A tired mother? A couple who's been married for thirty years and can't stand each other? Is someone going on vacation? Going home? Going to a funeral? Before I know it, I've imagined entire lives for people I've never met. My father used to tell me I was nosy. To which my soul still says: absolutely not. I'm just a curious being. TAKEAWAYS • Curiosity can keep us connected to wonder • There is something beautifully childlike about wanting to understand • Imagination can be both a gift and a place to disappear into • Not every question needs an answer to be worth asking CHAPTERS 00:02 — Sometimes It's Hard to Be Human 00:40 — I'm Just Curious 01:10 — Who's on That Airplane? 02:53 — Nosy? Absolutely Not. 03:30 — Why Am I So Curious? 04:33 — I Don't Even Know What I'm Talking About Anymore Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #124 — How Do I Turn This Rage Into Sacred Rage?
CONTENT NOTE: This episode contains discussion of childhood abuse, traumatic memories, dissociation, and coping behaviors. VOICE NOTE #124 — How Do I Turn This Rage Into Sacred Rage? I have come to realize that I am an incredibly rageful woman. Not angry. Rageful. It's in my bones. My blood. My muscles. And I understand why it's there. What I don't yet know is what to do with it. How do I take something this enormous and turn it into something sacred? Because underneath the rage, there is grief. There is betrayal. There is heartbreak. And somewhere along the way, my body learned that safety can lead to pain and love can come with confusion. So how do I teach her something different? I don't know yet. Maybe, for now, I don't have to. Maybe I can put one hand on my chest, one hand on my belly, breathe, and simply stay with what is here. Sit with the feeling. Love the feeling. Witness the feeling. Honor the feeling. Feel the feeling. And send another voice note into the Universe. TAKEAWAYS • Rage can hold grief, heartbreak, fear, and betrayal beneath it • Understanding where a protective response comes from doesn't mean we immediately know how to release it • Pain can be acknowledged without turning it against ourselves • Sometimes the practice is simply allowing the body to feel without demanding an immediate answer CHAPTERS 00:02 — I Am an Incredibly Rageful Woman 01:19 — The Pieces I Couldn't Remember 04:23 — When My Body Feels Safe Enough 07:27 — Crowley, Susan & the Grief Beneath the Rage 10:06 — How Do I Turn This Into Sacred Rage? 14:33 — Turning the Rage Against Myself 18:54 — Becoming Stronger, Wiser & Softer 21:35 — Sit With It. Love It. Witness It. Feel It. Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #123—Am I consciously soothing or punishing my body for remembering?
CONTENT NOTE: This episode contains discussion of childhood abuse, traumatic memories, and coping behaviors. VOICE NOTE #123 — Am I Consciously Soothing or Punishing My Body for Remembering? I've been telling myself that I'm consciously soothing. That after remembering things that have shaken me to my core, I'm giving myself permission to cope however I need to cope. But this morning, a different question found me: Am I consciously soothing... or am I punishing my body for remembering? Because somewhere along the way, the things that once helped me survive stopped feeling soothing. They started making me feel worse. And perhaps that doesn't mean I've gone backward. Perhaps noticing that they no longer feel like safety is evidence that something within me has changed. So instead of shaming the version of me who still reaches for those old ways, I'm trying something different. I'm sitting beside her. Thanking her for keeping me safe. And maybe, very gently, asking if she's ready to retire a little. Not disappear. Not be exiled. Just rest. Maybe progress isn't never returning to an old coping mechanism. Maybe sometimes progress is realizing it no longer feels like home. TAKEAWAYS • Old coping mechanisms may stop feeling soothing as we change • Returning to an old pattern doesn't necessarily erase progress • We can acknowledge protective parts of ourselves without shaming or exiling them • Sometimes progress is visible in how differently we respond to ourselves CHAPTERS 00:02 — What a Night 01:20 — When My Body Feels Safe Enough 03:03 — Wanting to Remember & Not Wanting to Remember 04:31 — Am I Soothing or Punishing My Body? 05:27 — This Isn't Helping Me Anymore 07:42 — When Safety Feels Like Pain 08:09 — Sitting With the Part That Kept Me Safe 11:15 — Maybe I Don't Need to Thrive in Chaos Anymore Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #122—Same Energy, Different Face.
VOICE NOTE #122 — Same Energy, Different Face. There are moments when someone—or something—walks into your life and you think: Wait. I know this energy. Different face. Same energy. And lately, I've been wondering what happens if instead of immediately asking why it's happening again, I get quiet enough to notice what it's showing me. Because apparently I've had a habit of chasing things I already knew weren't for me. People. Opportunities. Situations. Putting them on pedestals. Seeing all their potential. Convincing myself this is the thing that's going to work. And then I had the deeply inconvenient realization: Wait... Am I the emotionally unavailable one? Well, shit. Maybe seeing the pattern is only the beginning. Maybe the next part is learning not to chase it. To stay open. Stay soft. Keep my boundaries. Speak when I need to speak. And perhaps most importantly... Let people show me who they are. No pedestal. No performance. No predetermined ending. Just curiosity, observation, and enough trust in myself to see what is actually there. Anyhoo... I almost stayed on track this time. Almost. Toodle-oo. TAKEAWAYS • Familiar patterns can invite deeper self-reflection • Seeing someone's potential isn't the same as seeing who they are • We can remain open and receptive without abandoning our boundaries • Sometimes the most revealing thing we can do is stop chasing and simply observe CHAPTERS 00:01 — Same Energy, Different Face 01:46 — Wait... Am I the Emotionally Unavailable One? 03:11 — I Thought We Worked Through This 05:24 — Let People Show You Who They Are 07:28 — Soft, Open & Still Having Boundaries 10:55 — Walking Through Life Differently 11:45 — Play Isn't a Reward 15:24 — A Forbidden Treat or a Sacred Ritual? Voice Note #121—Can I just love every single piece of me?
VOICE NOTE #121 — Can I Just Love Every Single Piece of Me? I'm officially over the term "healing journey." Maybe this is something else. An inner exploration. A meeting of all the different versions of myself—the ones I understand, the ones I'm still discovering, and especially the ones I'd rather push away. Because I'm beginning to wonder if becoming whole has less to do with fixing those pieces and more to do with calling them home. Which somehow led me into relationships. Rejection. Avoidance. Mirrors. Fear of failure. Fear of success. And the uncomfortable realization that sometimes the thing I'm seeing in someone else might be asking me to look somewhere within myself. And underneath all of that was a much simpler question: Can I just love every single piece of me? Without judging it. Without shaming it. Without demanding that it change before I let it belong. Maybe that's the practice. Anyhoo... I have absolutely no idea how I got here. Toodle-oo. TAKEAWAYS • Wholeness may be less about fixing ourselves and more about welcoming ourselves home • The pieces we most want to reject may be the ones asking for the most love • What we notice in others can sometimes invite us into deeper honesty with ourselves • Radical acceptance doesn't require immediate change CHAPTERS 00:00 — I'm Over the Healing Journey 00:47 — Meeting All the Versions of Me 02:52 — Calling the Exiled Pieces Home 05:03 — Same Energy, Different Face 07:21 — What's Wrong With Me? 09:20 — Where Am I Avoidant? 11:58 — Radical Permission to Just Be 13:06 — Can I Just Love Every Single Piece of Me? Voice Note #120—Shut up Susan! Nobody likes you anyway!
VOICE NOTE #120 — Shut Up Susan! Nobody Likes You Anyway! I’m cleaning the house. Eating candy corn. Getting ready to reheat last night’s pizza. And apparently being judged by Susan. Susan is my inner critic. She’s loud. She’s annoying. And today, nobody asked for her opinion. So naturally… I told her to shut up. And somehow that turned into a conversation with Spirit about riddles, free will, fate, the soul, manifestation—and whether some of the things we think we’re creating might actually be things we’re remembering. What if manifestation isn’t always about calling something toward us? What if sometimes it’s a little whisper from somewhere within saying: Over here. Over here. Over here. Maybe we’re not creating the path. Maybe we’re remembering it. I don’t know. The only thing I know for certain is that every time I think I’ve figured something out, the Universe reminds me that I don’t know shit. Anyhoo… Shut up, Susan. I’m eating my candy corn. TAKEAWAYS •Curiosity leaves room for more than one possibility • Free will, fate, and manifestation can be explored from many perspectives • Maybe some desires aren’t about becoming—they’re about remembering • We don’t need answers to ask interesting questions CHAPTERS 00:00 — Candy Corn, Pizza & Judgment 00:48 — Shut Up, Susan 01:46 — Riddles & Play Dates With the Universe 07:12 — But Do We Really Have Free Will? 09:03 — Souls, Fate & the Red String 11:55 — What If the Soul Has Free Will? 13:00 — What If Manifestation Is Remembrance? 16:28 — Who Knows? Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #119—Can't we just meet people out in the wilds?
VOICE NOTE #119 — Can't We Just Meet People Out in the Wilds? It's 2 AM. Naturally, I'm contemplating dating apps. More specifically... Why do we need them? Can't we just meet people out in the wilds? At a coffee shop. In a store. Wandering through Target. Does anybody just look up, notice one another, and start a conversation anymore? Which somehow got me thinking about earbuds. And presence. And what it has taken for me to learn how to fully inhabit my own body. And signs and synchronicities. And playing with the Universe. And listening. Because perhaps being available for connection—with another person, with the Universe, even with ourselves—requires us to actually be here for it. Anyhoo... That was quite a long journey for a conversation about meeting people out in the wilds. But you know how these things go. Toodle-oo. TAKEAWAYS • Presence makes room for connection • Being grounded helps us notice what is happening around us • Our relationship with intuition is deeply personal • Self-trust begins with learning how to listen to ourselves CHAPTERS 00:00 — Goodness, Child. It's 2 AM 00:25 — The Sacredness of the Wee Hours 02:06 — Anyhoo, Darling 02:58 — Listening to the Night 04:42 — Can We Talk About Dating Apps? 05:24 — Can't We Just Meet People Out in the Wilds? 06:10 — The Earbuds Are Ruining the Flow 07:13 — Learning to Come Back Into My Body 09:48 — Playing With the Universe 11:52 — That Was a Long Rant About Meeting People 12:07 — How Are You Going to Hear the Whispers? 12:45 — Learn to Listen to Yourself Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #118—Clarity isn't truth, it's deep brutal honesty with oneself.
VOICE NOTE #118 — Clarity Isn't Truth, It's Deep, Brutal Honesty With Oneself I've been having a lot of conversations with Spirit lately. And this one stayed with me: Clarity is not truth. Clarity is honesty. The kind of deep, internal honesty that asks us to acknowledge what we already know—even when we don't particularly like the answer. The truth may be that you love someone. Honesty may be admitting that loving them doesn't mean you should stay. The truth may be that something looks wonderful on paper. Honesty may be admitting that it's slowly draining the life out of you. Maybe clarity isn't about discovering some hidden truth we haven't been able to find. Maybe it's about becoming quiet enough—and honest enough—to hear what we've already been telling ourselves. Of course, that's where this voice note began. Where it wandered from there... Well, you know how these things go. Toodle-oo. TAKEAWAYS • Clarity and truth may not always be the same thing • Deep honesty sometimes asks us to acknowledge what we don't want to hear • Learning to trust ourselves is a practice • What feels like stagnation may look different when we change our perspective CHAPTERS 00:00 — Hello, Darling 00:22 — Clarity Is Not Truth 00:50 — Truth vs. Honesty 02:18 — Come Sit With Me in the Void 03:05 — Becoming Comfortable With the Silence 03:34 — Conversations With Spirit 04:39 — Learning to Trust What I Know 06:05 — Maybe I Haven't Been Stuck 06:59 — Coming Out of the Fog 07:40 — A Different Way of Seeing This Season 08:21 — Finding Harmony in the Chaos Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #117—Are you kidding me?
VOICE NOTE #117 — Are You Kidding Me? This was supposed to be another voice note to the Universe. It became a rant to the Universe. I was finishing my last Uber ride of the day when a woman walked up to my car, knocked on my window, and decided she had some thoughts about my hazard lights. Apparently, I had some thoughts too. Listen... I told you I'm not all love and light. Sometimes I'm curious about the mysteries of the Universe. Sometimes I'm contemplating the sacredness of our humanness. And sometimes a stranger knocks on my window and I temporarily lose access to my higher self. What can I say? I'm human. My rant is over. Toodle-oo. TAKEAWAYS • I am not all love and light • Apparently hazard lights can become a spiritual test • The shadow is alive and well • Sometimes a rant is just a rant CHAPTERS 00:00 — A Rant to the Universe 00:54 — I'm Just Existing 01:25 — Are You Kidding Me? 03:11 — I Told You I'm Not All Love and Light 03:39 — Don't Forget About Crowley 04:09 — Eight Days Into a Water Fast 04:33 — My Rant Is Over Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #116—I don't know how I know. I just know what I know.
VOICE NOTE #116 — I Don't Know How I Know. I Just Know What I Know. Just another late-night conversation with Spirit. I was sitting in the void tonight thinking about something I don't really know how to explain. I know what I know. I don't know how I know it. I just know. And somehow, that conversation wandered from knowing Spirit... to knowing myself. To what happens when we learn to see ourselves fully—the beauty, the shadow, the contradictions, the imperfections—and love the whole human anyway. Because I'm beginning to think loving someone's divinity is one thing. Loving their humanness? That's a practice. Maybe the more deeply we learn to love our own humanness, the more room we have for everyone else's. I don't know. I don't even remember how I started this conversation. Oh well. TAKEAWAYS • Knowing ourselves fully changes how we see others • Self-love doesn't require perfection • Loving someone's divinity and loving their humanness are different things • Compassion doesn't require excusing harmful behavior CHAPTERS 00:00 — Another Late-Night Conversation With Spirit 01:00 — I Know What I Know 02:30 — Loving the Divine vs. Loving the Human 04:30 — Know Thyself Fully 06:00 — Falling in Love With Myself 08:00 — Loving Our Imperfections 10:00 — Compassion for Our Humanness 11:00 — Wait... Voice Note #115—Confessions to Mother Moon
Voice Note #115 — Confessions to Mother Moon ***CONTENT NOTE*** This voice note contains discussion of childhood sexual abuse, dissociation, traumatic memory, and its emotional aftermath. Please listen in whatever way feels right for you. Tonight's confessions are a little heavier. I'm sitting beneath the Strawberry Moon at a crossroads with myself. There are things my mind forgot a long time ago. My body didn't. When I was a little girl and something became too much to endure, my mind learned that it could leave. It could float into the clouds. Disappear into imagination. Find quiet somewhere far away. But the body? The body had to stay. And she has been carrying the secrets ever since. Now, all these years later, she is finally beginning to feel safe enough to let them go. And I'm terrified to let her. Because I've learned something about myself: When my body feels safe, she remembers. So what happens when part of you desperately wants to heal and another part knows exactly what healing might ask you to remember? I think I've been standing at that crossroads for a while. Maybe these confessions to Mother Moon are my way of finally admitting that I know which direction I need to go. I'm scared. But my body says it's time. And perhaps that's enough for tonight. Takeaways - The complicated relationship between the mind, body, and traumatic memory - Dissociation as something that once helped a child survive - Why safety itself can sometimes feel frightening - Recognizing self-sabotage as resistance to what we fear we may have to feel - Moving from endless excavation toward rest, embodiment, integration, and play - Learning to trust the body after spending a lifetime disconnected from her Chapters 00:00 — Confessions to Mother Moon 00:45 — I'm Scared to Move Forward 01:45 — My Body Remembers 03:30 — When Everything You Thought You Knew Changes 05:40 — The Mind Can Leave. Voice Note #114— Take a deep breath.
VOICE NOTE #114 — Take a Deep Breath I was overwhelmed. My health. My finances. Life. I had just gotten off the phone with my insurance company when I felt it happening. The panic. The fear. That familiar feeling of drowning beneath everything I didn't know how to fix. Except this time, something was different. Instead of fighting the feeling, I let it be hard. I let myself be scared. And then... I took a breath. Nothing magically changed. The bills were still there. My body still needed care. I still didn't know exactly how everything was going to work out. But I was meeting it differently. Maybe growth isn't always about reaching a place where life no longer overwhelms us. Maybe sometimes it's simply noticing that we're no longer responding to the hard moments in quite the same way. So if today feels like a lot... Take a deep breath. TAKEAWAYS • Life can be hard without being hopeless • We don't have to shame ourselves for feeling overwhelmed • Growth can show up in how we respond • Sometimes the next thing we need is simply a breath CHAPTERS 00:00 — I'm Exhausted 02:00 — Health, Money & Feeling Overwhelmed 03:30 — I Feel Like I'm Drowning 05:00 — Let It Be Hard 06:30 — Things Are Better 08:00 — Breathe. Voice Note #113— Baby, the sun is shining brightly on you.
VOICE NOTE #113 — Baby, the Sun Is Shining Brightly on You I went for a walk because I had some things to work through. So naturally, I started asking questions. Of myself. Of Spirit. Of the Universe. And somewhere between questioning my resistance, wondering whether I was looping, and temporarily losing my train of thought... I found myself back in the shadow. Again. And I was annoyed. How many times do I have to come back here? How long is it going to take me to figure this out? But then Spirit offered me another way of seeing it. What if the shadow isn't proof that the light has disappeared? What if you can see the shadow precisely because there's so much light? Oh. Maybe encountering an old part of ourselves doesn't always mean we're going backward. Maybe sometimes... Baby, the sun is shining brightly on you. And perhaps you just need to sit in the shade for a little while. TAKEAWAYS • Seeing an old shadow doesn't necessarily mean we've gone backward • Growth can hold both light and shadow • Perfection leaves very little room for becoming • Sometimes what feels like looping may look different from another perspective CHAPTERS 00:00 — I Went for a Walk With Some Questions 02:00 — Asking My Body Yes or No 04:00 — Resistance, Intention & Old Patterns 06:00 — To Be Human Is to Be Flawed 08:00 — Am I Looping Again? 10:00 — Baby, the Sun Is Shining Brightly on You 12:00 — Maybe I Just Need to Sit in the Shade Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #112— The battle within.
VOICE NOTE #112 — The Battle Within I've been thinking about the battles we have with ourselves. The habits we want to change. The things we reach for when we're uncomfortable. The parts of ourselves we've decided would be easier to love if they would just behave. For me, lately, that's meant looking at my relationship with addiction, food, scrolling, distraction... and, naturally, Lady Ganja. She's complicated. But somewhere in all of this, I started wondering: What if the goal isn't to defeat these parts of ourselves? What if it's to understand them? Because I can want something to change without shaming the woman who still reaches for it. I can recognize an old pattern without deciding I've undone all my progress. And maybe becoming the woman I want to be doesn't require rejecting the woman I am today. Maybe there's room for both of them. The messy human. And the one who's learning how to love her anyway. TAKEAWAYS • Change doesn't have to begin with shame • Old habits and real progress can exist at the same time • Self-acceptance doesn't mean we stop practicing discernment • Becoming doesn't require rejecting who we are today CHAPTERS 00:00 — The Battle Within 02:00 — Enter Lady Ganja 04:00 — What Are We Actually Trying to Escape? 06:00 — Shame, Desire & Our Very Human Vices 08:00 — Meeting My Future Self 10:00 — Just Love Yourself 12:00 — One Big, Evolving Piece of Human Art Episode description adapted from my original podcast transcript with AI-assisted editing.

Voice Note #111— I didn't expect it to go that deep...
VOICE NOTE #111 — I Didn't Expect It to Go That Deep... I was having a day. Frustrated. Angry. Tired of feeling like I should be further along than I am. And somewhere in the middle of sitting with all of that, Spirit showed me a tree. Deep roots. A strong trunk. Branches reaching toward the sky. Tiny fruit that simply wasn't ripe yet. And sunlight. So much sunlight that, naturally, there was shadow too. Maybe seeing the shadow doesn't mean we've gone backward. Maybe sometimes we just need to sit in the shade for a little while. That would have been a perfectly lovely place for this voice note to end. But of course not. Why stop there? Because somewhere along the way, a completely different question found me: If I expect this much from myself... what might I be asking of everyone else? I didn't expect it to go that deep. But perhaps that's what happens when we stay curious long enough to let the question change. TAKEAWAYS • Growth doesn't disappear because an old feeling returns • Not everything we're growing is ready to be harvested • Rest and shadow can exist alongside progress • The expectations we place on ourselves may reach beyond us CHAPTERS 00:00 — I Was Having a Day 02:00 — The Emotional Hamster Wheel 04:00 — Spirit Shows Me a Tree 06:00 — The Fruit Isn't Ripe Yet 08:00 — Sitting in the Shade 10:00 — Wait...
