003: Unpopular Opinion, Tall Poppy Syndrome Is Fan Behaviour
Whether we like it or not, tall poppy syndrome is real. Australia's culture won't change, but the way we approach it and deal with our negative self talk can shift our way of thinking.
Tune in as I address this cultural phenomena as fan behaviour. What ever happened to being proud of those around us and seeing what they could produce?
I relay my thinking process of how tall poppy syndrome presents itself as a creative block and how influencer culture has shifted the culture more aggressively more now than ever.

002: Retail, A Hub Spot For Creatives: Tackling Our Inner Critic
One of the most prevalent challenges artists face today is the relentless barrage of the inner critic - That voice within that undermines our abilities, questions our worth and stifles our creative flow. Join Rocky Thalong in identifying triggers that give power to our inner critic. There is power in acknowledging our weaknesses in order for us to progress in life.
This week Rocky defines creativity and what it means to him. He workshops Africa Brooke’s ‘Beyond The Self Podcast’ by approaching the inner critic with his personal experiences with toxic masculinity and childhood memories of flamboyant queerness.

001: Introduction: Breaking Free from Creative Blocks vs Are you Creatively Locked?
Welcome to the first episode of this season!
Join me in my light hearted conversation of what it means to be creatively blocked. I explore my concept of being creatively locked and its relationship with the complexities of our identity - ethnic surnames, immigrant parents, and the influences of our educators that hinder an artist's growth.
By using emotional intelligence to navigate the sphere of self doubt and insecurity we can contribute to a higher sense of self gratitude!
