   Women Romantic Poets 6_sample

The complete audiobook is available for purchase at Audible.com: https://n9.cl/i7l75 Women Romantic Poets 6 The Birthday and Other Poems By Caroline Bowles Southey Narrated by Marie Blackmore On its publication in 1836, The Birthday was widely acclaimed as “the retrospect of a mind’s life” and “the autobiography of the childhood of genius.” Witty and poignant, unsparing in its attacks on injustice and sentimentality, assured and wryly self-mocking, it was an innovative work, anticipating the approach used by Wordsworth in The Prelude (published 14 years later). This collection also includes a varied selection of Caroline Bowles Southey’s shorter poems written at all phases of her career.

   The Art of Logical Thinking_sample

The complete audiobook is available for purchase at Audible.com: https://n9.cl/p349s6 The Art of Logical Thinking Or the Laws of Reasoning By William Walker Atkinson Narrated by Denis Daly William Walker Atkinson (1862-1932) was a prolific author and publisher of New Thought texts. This text is unusual in Atkinson's oeuvre, in that it contains no discussion of spiritual or metaphysical topics. In clear, unambiguous language, the author commences with a definition of reasoning and proceeds with an examination of the various forms in which it can be applied. He discusses the steps involved in the formation and testing of hypotheses and concludes with a discussion of common fallacies. Although Atkinson was neither a philosopher nor a scientist, this text is a well-structured and accessible introduction to the application of the principles of logic.

   Legends of Saints and Martyrs_sample

The complete audiobook is available for purchase at Audible.com: https://n9.cl/3k5j9 Legends of Saints and Martyrs By Joseph McCabe Narrated by Oberon Michaels In Legends of Saints and Martyrs, Joseph McCabe turns a sharp historical eye on one of Christianity’s most cherished traditions: the heroic age of persecution. With biting wit and relentless skepticism, he examines the legends of early saints and martyrs, arguing that many were not preserved by history but manufactured by pious imagination, clerical invention, and institutional need. Moving from apocryphal gospels to medieval hagiography, from Nero’s Rome to the Bollandist scholars, McCabe distinguishes genuine persecution from later exaggeration. The result is a provocative study of faith, fraud, memory, and myth-making—a challenge to the stories through which religions traditionally obtain their validation.
