Ep. 9 - Ngomongin Toleransi: Pengalaman Buber di Gereja
<p><strong>Bom Makassar yang terjadi beberapa minggu lalu kembali membuka luka lama bagi kami – Nita, Irma, Rudi, yang mengalami tragedi serupa yaitu Tragedi Pengeboman Gereja di Surabaya pada 2018. Aksi yang dilancarkan di tiga gereja itu menjadi teror mencekam di Kota Pahlawan ini. Bahkan wali kota saat itu segera meliburkan para siswa. Mall-mall jadi sepi. Keluar rumah adalah hal yang jadi menakutkan saat itu.</strong></p> <p><strong>Setahun kemudian, kami berkesempatan datang dalam acara refleksi peristiwa tersebut yang juga dilangsungkan di Gereja Katolik Santa Maria Tak Bercela, lokasi yang juga dibom pada peristiwa itu. Banyak elemen masyarakat yang hadir dalam acara itu, tak terkecuali tokoh lintas agama. Mendengar cerita para korban membuat kami merinding, bagaimana bisa itu terjadi.</strong></p> <p><strong>Setelahnya, pihak gereja juga menyediakan “buka bersama” bagi para muslim yang sedang beribadah. Rasanya “berbeda” karena kami berbuka puasa di dalam gereja, di ruang yang sama tempat salib digantung dan beberapa muslim – juga dengan atributnya seperti kerudung dan peci, dengan nyamannya berbuka puasa di sini.</strong></p> <p><strong>Kami jadi merefleksikan banyak hal dari tragedi kemanusiaan ini. Realitas beragama dalam masyarakat ini masih saja menjadi kian pelik. Kehadiran media sosialnya dengan eco-chamber-nya turut menyuburkan praktik untuk hanya menyetujui dan mendukung yang “sepemikiran” dengan kita.
