   10: Awanggan

"Awanggan is a youth-led advocacy campaign which aims to empower the youth since our main topic that we're tackling is about youth inferiority in the Philippine context. Since our context is in the Philippines, we want the name of the group to be something in the Filipino language. We tried to find a word that would truly embody our goal. Its meaning is having no limits or infinity, (and) that word is Awanggan. We would also want the youth to have no limits in voicing themselves." – Gabriel Lontoc, Project Manager of Awanggan ✊ Let the flames inside our hearts burn stronger than ever! 🔥 Our interview podcast, 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, is coming to an end. Do not fret as we will make sure that you will finish the podcast with a fiery passion to serve our fellow Filipinos. 🇵🇭 For our last episode, we invited Awanggan over to educate us with their advocacy and what makes them motivated to do so. Being members of the youth gave them the leverage to influence and empower their peers, cultivating inclusive spaces which will help them thrive to become the better version of themselves. With our founder and executive director, Aaliziyah, join us on our fruitful discussion that will make the youth realize that they are not alone and they can become the person they wanted to be — your imagination is the only limit. 💭 Tune in, and be empowered.
