In this special triple threat crossover of the Cannonball, Serious Fun, and Voyageur podcasts, your host, Eric Morgan, talks Star Wars and nostalgia with co-hosts Bryan Carr, Ryan Martin, and Chuck Rybak. Our show was directly inspired by "Star Wars: The Nostalgia Awakens," an exhibit of Star Wars toys on display earlier in 2021 at the Oshkosh Public Museum. The impressive collection of action figures, ships, and playsets is the lifetime work of Jarrod Roll, a Star Wars enthusiast and museum curator from Onalaska, Wisconsin. In this episode, the Voyageur team talks with Heidi Satori, author of "Close Connections: From Pearl Harbor to the Twenty-First Century," which will be featured in the magazine's forthcoming Summer/Fall 2021 issue. "Close Connections" chronicles two parallel stories spanning from the attack on Pearl Harbor to modern times: that of the Smith family, of De Pere, Wisconsin, during the Second World War and that of the author, as a military spouse and mother.
