White Lotus seizoen 2, Andor en Enlightened: dat zijn de knallers waar onze experts het meest van hebben genoten het afgelopen jaar. Enlightened is eigenlijk al een oudje, uit 2012, maar rete-actueel want gemaakt door Mike White, die ook weer verantwoordelijk is voor White Lotus. En zo is het cirkeltje én het jaar weer helemaal rond.

Ergens in een steegje in Londen, net voorbij de overvolle vuilniscontainers, bovenaan een ijzeren trap en achter een stalen deur die altijd klemt, bevindt zich Slough House; het afvoerputje van de Britse geheime dienst. Een plek waarnaar geheim agenten worden verbannen als ze een kolossale fout hebben begaan. Het is niet de meest voor de hand liggende locatie voor een tv-serie over geheim agenten. En juist daarom is Slow Horses, met Oscarwinnaar Gary Oldman in de hoofdrol, zo ontzettend leuk. Hier zijn de agenten nu eens níet glad of geniaal.
