<p>The COP is arguably the most important meeting of civil society, the private sector and governments around the issue of Climate Change that pierces through our lives from bus rides to plane rides, the market and the water in our pipes but what really happens at the COP?</p> <p>Sumeet Betancourt is a Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Officer with the Forestry Department in Belize currently on a young professionals fellowship with the UNFCCC Fellowship in Bonn, Germany. The Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean is probably the most important Agreement to be signed in the regional space. We spoke to Senator Janelle Chanona, Vice President of OCEANA in Belize.
