Podcast Overview

Join me for a leisurely walk, sharing the things I see and my conversations with people along the way. Let’s slow down, arrive back into our bodies, and allow time for reflection. Walking is for me part exercise, part meditation, and part hobby: I am an avid mountain climber, trekker and bush-whacker. I’m not much of a runner. While my mother can wake up in the morning, put her jogging shoes on and take our rescue dog for a run, I prefer to take it easy, plodding along the footpath to the beach to stretch in the morning sun. I hope you can join me for this walk, and join in the conversation!

The art of listening and reviving the senses while bathing in nature, and floating in rivers and the sea

So many of us sleepwalk through our days believing that our lives are uninteresting and that we need to be inspired by others. One of my favorite ways to 'wake up' is by going for a refreshing swim in a natural body of water.

In this episode, I explain a bit more about Bali's annual "lockdown" after the raucous party of our New Year's Eve, share my 'aha!' moment on how powerful deep listening can be, and give you a glimpse of Ubud's river valleys.

Just Start! Take that first step. You have no idea where it might lead.

Whether we're beginning or continuing on the journey of building a better world, we come across moments when things feel too daunting and complicated, we don’t know where to begin, there are too many reasons to not do something... Just start!

When you "Just Start!", you often don't know where you'd end up. In this episode, I share how volunteering in Ubud took me to many places, including Darwin, (Georgetown - but that's in another episode) and Amsterdam.

Happy Sunday! And have a great start to the week.

Introduction. What's in a name? Naming traditions, and how I identity myself.

Join me for a leisurely walk while I introduce myself and share a journey of understanding. Names are powerful and mean different things to many people. In this episode, I introduce myself by way of explaining what you will find in a commonner's Balinese name, discuss nicknames, pen names, chosen names, gifts, blessings, jibes and more. Ask me a question, we'll pick up the conversation next week.
