Walking with Jesus: The Listening Habit
15 Minutes Monday to Friday
Hear. Walk. Become.
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." — John 10:27. Walking with Jesus is 15 minutes a day with the actual words of Christ, straight from the KJV. No commentary, no sermon — just Scripture, read aloud. Some days a single Gospel, some days all four woven together. 5 days a week, not 7 — a rhythm you can actually keep. His words stay with you. They come back when you need them. And before long, you're not just making time to hear His voice—you've made room for it. Bring Jesus into the hour you're already living…and let Him take it from there. Start today.
Passages: Luke 24:13-35; Luke 24:36-49 & John 20:19-23; John 20:24-31; John 21:1-25; Luke 24:50-53
That same day, two of Jesus' followers walk to a village called Emmaus, grieving over everything that had happened, and a stranger joins them on the road, opening the scriptures to them — until, at supper, they recognize him in the breaking of bread, and he vanishes. That same evening, both Luke and John record Jesus appearing to the gathered disciples, showing them his hands and side, and breathing peace on them. Thomas, absent that night, refuses to believe secondhand — until a week later, when Jesus invites him to touch the wounds himself. Later still, by the Sea of Tiberias, a night of empty nets turns into a miraculous catch at a stranger's word from the shore, and over a charcoal fire, Jesus asks Peter three times whether he loves him, restoring him and giving him work to do. Leading his disciples out as far as Bethany, Jesus lifts his hands to bless them, and is carried up into heaven.

Not My Will, But Thine, Be Done
Passages: John 16:1-33; John 17:1-26; Luke 22:39-53 & John 18:1-11
Jesus continues speaking to his disciples at the table, warning them that the world will hate them as it hated him, promising that the Spirit will guide them into all truth, and telling them that their sorrow will turn to joy, like a woman forgetting her pain the moment her child is born. He then lifts his eyes to heaven and prays — for himself, for his disciples, and for everyone who will one day believe because of them. Crossing the brook Kidron to a garden he had often visited, Jesus prays in anguish while his closest friends can't stay awake even one hour, and Judas arrives with soldiers and officers carrying lanterns and weapons.

I Am the Vine, Ye Are the Branches
Passages: Luke 22:24-38; John 13:31-38; John 14:1-31; John 15:1-27
A dispute breaks out among the apostles over which of them should be considered the greatest, even at this last meal, and Jesus tells them the one who serves is the one who leads. After Judas has gone out, Jesus gives the eleven who remain a new commandment — to love one another as he has loved them — and tells Peter that before the night is over, he will deny knowing Jesus three times. Jesus tells his troubled disciples not to let their hearts be troubled, promising them a place prepared and a Helper who will never leave them once he is gone. He then describes himself and them using the image of a vine and its branches, telling them that apart from him they can do nothing.
