About Warrior Code Podcast

This is Sovereign Savage. Not a podcast about opinions. Not another place for surface-level conversations. This is where men tell the truth. Real stories. Real battles. Real transformation. You’ll hear from men who faced their addictions, their anger, their passivity, their control, their silence—and chose to stop running. Men who stepped into discipline, faith, leadership, and responsibility when it would’ve been easier to stay where they were. Some episodes are raw, one-on-one conversations. Some are roundtables with men in the fire together. Some are direct strikes—short, clear truths meant to wake you up. Everything here has one purpose: to expose what’s real and call you higher. This isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about removing what’s false so you can walk as the man you were created to be. If you’re looking for entertainment, this won’t be for you. If you’re ready to face truth, lead your life, and walk in alignment— you’re in the right place.

The Man Who Left The Road Parable

For years, God has been teaching me a rhythm that has helped me navigate life with more clarity. Truth. Love. Reality. Relationship. Responsibility. Truth without love wounds. Love without truth deceives. But when truth and love meet, reality begins to appear. And when a man finally stands in right relationship with reality, responsibility shows up. For a long time, I thought responsibility was the weight. I am learning that avoidance was the weight. Recently, while running, something dropped into my heart that shifted the way I was seeing this again. The picture was simple. A man. A road. A stack of maps. And the question underneath it was this: What if the road was never the problem? What if the problem was the map the man kept using to interpret the road? That became the foundation for something I wrote called: THE MAN WHO LEFT THE ROAD It is a Sovereign Savage formation story about a man who once walked close to The Way, but over time began listening to voices that told him reality was whatever he felt, desired, feared, or controlled. So he stopped walking. He started collecting maps. Maps of wounds. Maps of identity. Maps of blame. Maps of control. Maps of what happened. Maps of what he decided never to feel again. And eventually, those maps became more than tools. They became his story. Then his shield. Then his name. That line hit me because I know what it is to carry maps. I know what it is to explain, defend, justify, protect, and call it wisdom. I know what it is to blame the road while refusing to look at the lens I am using to see it. At the center of this story is one sentence: You are not suffering Reality itself. You are suffering the relationship you formed with Reality through Relativity. That is not a soft sentence. It confronts. Because a man may not be fighting reality. He may be fighting the relationship he formed with reality through his fear, his wounds, his desires, his control, his old identity, or his private explanations. That does not mean pain was fake. It does not mean wounds were imaginary. It does not mean the past did not matter. It means none of those things have the right to rule reality. At some point, the map has to be laid down. That is what this story is about. The man finally returns to The Way. Reality becomes relationship. Relationship reveals responsibility. Responsibility becomes the place where freedom begins. This is not motivation for me. This is formation. A better way of being. A cleaner way of walking. A deeper way of returning. And if this lands anywhere in you, do not just admire the language. Ask where you have been blaming the road. Ask what map you have been carrying. Ask what truth you have been avoiding because the old map felt safer than the road. This is Sovereign Savage. Return to The Way. When you are done repeating what keeps taking you off the road, and the desire to return finally rises in you, start with Reality. Tell the truth. Lay the map down. Then reach for a brother who can walk with you through Relationship, Responsibility, and Freedom.

FALSE NAMES: Breaking the Identity That Has Been Ruling You

Most men are not just fighting bad habits. They are living under false names. Rejected. Unwanted. Not enough. Too much. Alone. Failure. Performer. Provider only. Protector only. The strong one. The angry one. The invisible one. The man who has to earn love. The man who has to prove he belongs. These names do not always come from truth. Many of them come from wounds, childhood pain, rejection, fear, pressure, control, shame, and the stories a man learned to survive inside. In this Sovereign Savage conversation, Raylan Heck leads a raw and honest discussion on identity, sonship, false names, and the war inside the soul of a man. This is not theory. This is the deep work of confronting the identities that have been shaping decisions, relationships, leadership, scarcity, fear, and performance. Curtis and Daniel share real experiences of wrestling with false names from childhood wounds, farm life, rejection, mental torture, acceptance, and the fight to understand who they really are beyond the story pain gave them. This episode exposes the difference between living from reputation and living from identity. Reputation asks, “What do people think of me?” Identity asks, “Who am I when nobody is validating me?” A man cannot build a free life while still obeying a false name. At some point, the name has to be confronted. At some point, the story has to be broken. At some point, the man has to stop living from pain and step into truth. This is about identity. This is about sonship. This is about purpose. This is about breaking agreement with the false names that have ruled you long enough. If something in you knows this is true, do not just listen. Face it. Write the false name down. Name what it has cost you. Then ask the harder question: Who would I be if I stopped obeying that name? This is Sovereign Savage. Fly Sovereign. Strike Savage.

THE TRUE SELF: The Man Beneath the Armor

The false self cannot lead you into freedom. It can perform. It can protect. It can control. It can stay busy. It can sound spiritual. It can look disciplined. But it cannot love, lead, surrender, or obey the way God requires. In this Chasing Alignment session, Raylan Heck leads a raw conversation on the false self, true identity, vulnerability, control, family patterns, fitness, self-awareness, love, leadership, and the places men still protect old identities instead of surrendering them. The false self is the survival version of a man. It may have been built through pain, fear, shame, rejection, control, disappointment, or self-protection. But what helped a man survive cannot become the voice that leads his life. This conversation confronts the question every man must face: What false identity am I still protecting that God is calling me to expose, surrender, and strip of authority? The men discuss how false identities show up in relationships, family responses, emotional distance, control, physical discipline, and leadership. This is not about behavior management. This is about authority. Who is speaking for you? The false self? Or the true man under God? The true man rises when the false self loses its vote. Stop decorating what should be dying. Name it. Expose it. Surrender it. Strip it of authority. Ruled by God. Unruled by the world. Fly Sovereign. Strike Savage.
