If it's true that "sober thoughts are drunk words" then we've seen people at their most authentic. That's what Wasted Truth is all about! Nik & Jill dive into the insanity of the bar and entertainment scene in Nashville and we tell those stories.
This week on Wasted Truth, Nik and Jill are joined by longtime homie and absolute industry badass, Gemaal: the man behind Apertif, a high-end bartending company slinging booze at weddings and events all over. Nik’s worked with him for over a decade, so you know the stories run deep. From shutting down entire weddings three hours in, to witnessing guests turn into full-blown monsters of entitlement, Jamal doesn’t hold back. Oh, and yes, we talk about “Harry Potter-ing babies” (yes, literal inf...

Super Gay (Without The Cape)
This week on Wasted Truth, Nik and Jill are joined by the iconic duo Christa and Jonda: owners of East Nashville’s legendary Lipstick Lounge, Tennessee’s only certified lesbian bar that’s been slinging drinks and queer joy for over two decades. We get into what it’s like growing up gay in the South, coming out, and what it means to run a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community in a state that isn’t always so welcoming. Of course, it wouldn’t be Wasted Truth without some unhinged bar stories, incl...

Molly-Poppin at Panera
This week, ya girls Nik and Jill fly solo, but don’t worry hunnies, the tea is still piping hot!! Our inbox was full of chaos, so we read your wildest write-ins and play some juicy voice memos from listeners who clearly have no shame (our favorite kind of people). From bathroom barfs to managers caught mid-naughtiness, we react to your most unhinged service industry stories. Buckle up for laughs, gags (the gross kind), and a whole lotta wasted truth. Let's spill some W-Tea! CALL US, YOUR...

Shoutout to Cream Pies
This week, we hit record from Goodtimes (literally), where Nik slings drinks and we get real with the one and only Alli Torres - a straight-up powerhouse in the service industry. She’s a writer, VP of the sultry new tequila brand Quintalisa, and the baddie behind the bar on the latest two seasons of Bar Rescue. We dive into what it means to dominate in a male-heavy industry, how to demand your seat at the damn table, and all the wild shit that comes with working in cities like Miami and NYC. ...

Bridezillas, Bourbon, & Boofing Everclear
This week on Wasted Truth, Nik and Jill are joined by Philip from Nelson’s Greenbrier Distillery: a former wedding planner turned whiskey-slinging event guru. We dive into some of his most unhinged bridezillatales, talk about the wild ride from organizing teary vows to pouring Tennessee bourbon, and taste through some damn fine local whiskey right from the beautiful Greenbrier event space. We play a raunchy round of “WWPD - What Would Phil Do” on bizarre event requests (no, you cannot bring y...

Story Time with Nik & Jill
It’s just Nik and Jill this week, and the claws are out. In true Wasted Truth fashion, the girls dive into a full-on yappy bitch sesh about the most annoying guests, the dumbest bar behavior, and the kind of service industry nonsense that makes you want to scream into the ice well. Jill shares a story about one of the absolute worst customers she’s ever had to deal with (and she’s seen some shit), while Nik talks about some “friends” who brought unnecessary drama—including a wife who straight...

Smart, Hot, & Therapized
This week on Wasted Truth, Nik and Jill sit down with Jason Sorbet—New Orleans native, neuroscience degree holder, and current part-owner of Nashville’s brand new booze den, Barrel Proof. We dive deep into Jason’s roots in the industry, from slinging drinks as a kid in the Big Easy to running one of Nashville’s hottest new bars. We also get real about mental health in the service world, how to keep your head on straight while working your ass off, and why Jason traded brains for booze (litera...

Hey Siri: Call The Count
This week on Wasted Truth, Nik and Jill welcome the absolute legend that is Courtney from Fernet-Branca—a woman who knows more about booze and brand life than your average barfly knows about bad decisions. We dive into her wild ride through the alcohol industry, hopping state to state slinging beer and spirits before landing in Nashville during peak pandemic chaos. She’s been repping Fernet for two years now (aka keeping the service industry’s collective liver slightly terrified), and we get ...

Poop Dollars & Pocket Jesus
Episode 6 of Wasted Truth is Here! This week, the girls ride solo again and spill all the W-Tea! Nik just celebrated her birthday in the most bartender-appropriate way possible—spa day by daylight, house party by moonlight, and a healthy dose of questionable decisions in between. Jill, however, decided to mom it up and ghost the party (rude), but we guess popping out a kid earns her a get-out-of-guilt-free card… for now. The duo dives into the sweet, sweet perks of birthday freebies: wher...

Shift Drinks & Sippy Cups
This week Nik and Jill are joined by a very special guest—Jill’s baby daddy, Quint. That’s right, the man who helped create a tiny human and still manages to sling drinks at the same bar as her. We dive deep into the messy, hilarious, and brutally honest world of co-parenting in the service industry. From tag-teaming childcare schedules to passing each other in the bar like coworkers with benefits (the benefit being… a whole-ass child), nothing’s off-limits. We also play a round of What’s W...

Tell Your Dad I Said Hi
Another Monday and another episode where Nikolette & Jill are here to serve up some fresh chaos! In this no-guest episode, the duo catches up on all the new bars and restaurants that have popped up in Nashville since they’ve been… otherwise occupied (read: getting wasted and popping out babies). The girls share their unfiltered opinions on all the hot new bars and restaurants in town and hold nothing back (ever encountered a Craigslist bartender? You’ll know one when you see one).&...

Pen-Jamin Franklin
Happy 4/20 bitches! This week on the podcast, your hosts Jill and Nik are joined by the amazing Carson, brand rep for High Rise Seltzers. We dive into her journey through the service industry with starting behind the bar, working with Jack Daniel’s, and eventually landing her spot on the High Rise team. If you’re curious about what High Rise is, it’s a THC-infused seltzer making waves in the Nashville scene (and beyond), blending flavor, chill vibes, and a new kind of buzz. We get int...

After two years away, the bitches are BACK, Jill and Nik are now recording at Nashville's Pearl Diver, armed with Fernet, champagne, and plenty of stories to share. Life has changed dramatically since you dummies last heard from your favorite raunchy industry veterans – Jill welcomed her son Wolfie into the world (yes, she literally worked a jewelry pop-up while in labor before heading to the hospital) while Nik claimed the title of "DAQ Queen of East Nashville" in a speed bartending competit...
