25 Watching Jurassic Park with My Pastor

The world recently lost one of cinema's most beloved actors with the passing of Sir Sam Neill at the age of 78. Best known to generations of fans as Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park, Neill built a remarkable career spanning nearly five decades and more than 150 film and television roles. He was equally at home in blockbuster adventures like Jurassic Park and The Hunt for Red October, thought-provoking dramas such as The Piano, and horror classics like Event Horizon and In the Mouth of Madness. The Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/film/2026/jul/13/sam-neill-obituary?utm_source=chatgpt.com) What made Sam Neill special wasn't just his talent, but his warmth and humility. Directors, co-stars, and fans consistently described him as kind, generous, and endlessly curious. Steven Spielberg praised him as an essential member of the Jurassic family, while Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and countless others remembered him as a true gentleman whose humor made every production better. AP News (https://apnews.com/article/e8f0b52e0ce68da12a473c9b20d7b938?utm_source=chatgpt.com) For many of us, Sam Neill made science exciting. As Dr. Alan Grant, he inspired countless children to learn about dinosaurs, fossils, and paleontology. He gave us a hero who relied on intelligence, courage, and compassion rather than brute force. His performance remains one of the defining characters of modern cinema. Today we celebrate not only an extraordinary actor, but a man whose legacy will continue every time someone hears those unforgettable words: "Welcome...to Jurassic Park." 23 Watching Masters of the Universe with My Pastor

This month on Watching Movies with My Pastor, we enter the arena to revisit the 1987 cult classic, Masters of the Universe! Masters of the Universe (1987) may not be a perfect movie, but it remains an earnest and entertaining fantasy adventure filled with memorable characters, practical effects, and one of the greatest villain performances of the 1980s. For a Watching Movies with My Pastor discussion, it provides plenty of opportunities to talk about: Sacrificial love Courage under pressure The responsible use of power Overcoming evil with good Remaining faithful when hope seems lost And perhaps most importantly, it reminds us that true heroes aren't defined by their strength—but by what they are willing to sacrifice for others. #Podcast #MovieDiscussion #GeekCulture #WatchingMoviesWithMyPastor #FaithAndFilm #MoviePodcast #ChristianPodcast #MovieMinistry #ClassicComedy #PopCulture #SpiritualLessons #FilmFaithFun #MovieReaction #RetroMovies #FilmDiscussion #FaithAndFandom You have options to hear just the audio of us with a few clips from the movie, hear the audio of the entire movie (patrons (https://www.patreon.com/neverlandpodcast) and redcircle exclusive members) and of course I have video available on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@WatchingMovieswithmyPastor-k3z) and an exclusive video for patrons of Patreon!
