How does following Jesus shape the way we understand sexuality and our bodies?
In Week 2 of our Messy Church series, Pastor Chris walks through 1 Corinthians 5-7 and addresses some of the difficult issues facing the church in Corinth. Rather than focusing primarily on the sin of the world around them, Paul calls believers to examine their own lives and take seriously the call to holiness.
Our bodies are not separate from our discipleship. We were bought at a price, and following Jesus means surrendering every part of ourselves to Him. Through biblical sexual integrity, Spirit-empowered self-control and a renewed understanding of our bodies, we are called to honour God in the way we live.

Where is God when He feels far away?
In Week 3 of our Above All series, Pastor Chris explores the omnipresence of God through the story of Jonah. Jonah tried to run from God's call, found himself in overwhelming distress and later wrestled with anger, yet God's presence never left him.
The same is true for us. God's presence is not dependent on perfect circumstances or perfect behaviour. Even in our lowest moments, we are never abandoned. He remains near and at work in our lives.

Church can be messy because people are messy. The Corinthians were spiritually gifted, yet division, pride and immaturity were creating real problems within their community.
Launching our new Messy Church series through 1 & 2 Corinthians, Pastor Chris teaches from 1 Corinthians 1 and asks what genuine unity looks like when imperfect people follow Jesus together. Paul confronts quarrelling, boasting and worldly living, then continually redirects the church toward Christ.
Unity does not require everyone to get their own way. It requires us to take on the mind of Christ, give God the glory and allow discipleship to keep forming us into His likeness.
