28: Sex Swings

In this 28th episode of the WBAY (What Bird Are You) Podcast, Suzy and Sam are talking about sex swings.

Furniture and toys and new experiences can heighten the joy in the bedroom (and beyond). Swings in particular can elevate the experience.

There are several swings on the market, including some that spin and some for a doorframe. All sorts of materials from basic nylon straps to elaborate chain and leather combos.

A yoga sling or hammock may also work perfectly well.

The basic idea is that someone is elevated into positions that emphasize the pleasure for the person in the swing and the ease of changing positions for the person controlling the swing.

We have experimented with various types of swings.

One thing is common about all of them, that is, they all need modification to suit the participant's needs.

We have modified our basic ceiling-mounted swing to include cam-straps for ease of adjustment for both the person in the swing and the one controlling the scene. Suzy is the one most typically in the swing.

Another thing common about swings is that they can magnify an orgasm.

Do you have experience with swings? Let us know.

Enjoy the show.

27: Polyamory

Polyamory is generally defined as the practice of, or desire for, romantic relationships with more than one partner at the same time, with informed consent of all partners involved.

There are as many ways to be poly as there are many different interpretations of what it is exactly. But at the core of this relationship dynamic is being ETHICALLY NON-MONOGOMOUS (ENM).

In this 27th episode of the WBAY Podcast, Suzy and Sam are talking with Blue Ridge residents Elle and Eric about their polyamorous relationship.

She's been part of poly relationships for over two decades since her early 20s. Eric is relatively new, practicing polyamory for about four years. They are together now building a life together and sharing their perspectives with us.

Is being Polly for everyone?

Is it natural?

Is it relationship shopping?

Can it "fix" the potential boredom of a long-term monogamous relationship?

Is it merely hooking up with anyone you want as long as your primary partner knows? What should your partner know?

How to avoid scheduling complexities, and the pitfalls of negative emotions such as jealousy?

Let's not forget that this is an intentional lifestyle with complexities that require a lot of work and communication. Boundaries are established. When it is done well there may be more capacity for love and joy and personal growth.

We mention one of our favorite words in this episode. COMPERSION. This is defined as our wholehearted participation in the happiness of others, even when their positive experience does not include or benefit us directly.

Enjoy the show.

Reach out to us with suggestions, comments, ideas for future episodes.

IG: @whatbirdpodcast

email: whatbirdpodcast@gmail.com
