"Die EU ist in ihrer jetzigen Konstruktion nicht in der Lage, auf die äußeren Bedrohungen und ihre inneren Unzulänglichkeiten angemessen zu reagieren", sagt der Unternehmer und Autor Professor Gerhard Hücker. Er plädiert für Reformen, gerade jetzt sei ein guter Zeitpunkt dafür: "Europa steht an einer historischen Schwelle."
