Magic Kingdom Parks Series pt 2 - featuring the kiddies.
Exploring the Magic Kingdom: Our Favorite Spots (and Not So Favorite) Join us as we dive deep into the lesser-loved corners of Magic Kingdom. In our latest podcast episode, we venture back into the Magic Kingdom, diving into our opinions on what makes this park both magical and sometimes disappointing. Join us as we navigate through Fantasyland and share our thoughts on some of the beloved and not-so-beloved attractions. The Controversial Take on Magic Kingdom Magic Kingdom is often seen as the heart of Disney World, but our hosts express some controversial opinions on the park, especially Fantasyland. Starting off from the iconic carousel, we couldn't help but reminisce about our experiences and why some areas hold less charm for us than others. Be Our Guest: A Mixed Experience We delve into the famed Be Our Guest restaurant, a must-visit for first-timers. While the atmosphere is stunning—especially inside Beast's Castle—the food has left us wanting. "The food isn't great... you're paying for the experience and the location." Although the breakfast options were once a great deal, the pandemic changed everything, and we share our thoughts on whether it's worth two table service credits now. Gaston’s Tavern and the Turkey Leg Debate Next on our tour is Gaston’s Tavern, home to the infamous turkey leg. It’s a love-it-or-hate-it topic, especially with one of us loving it while the other finds it messy. "The taste is fantastic but the mess you get into eating it..." It's a quick service option that offers decent value, but opinions vary widely on its appeal. Hidden Gems in Fantasyland As we move through Fantasyland, we discuss the classic dark ride, "The Little Mermaid," and its hidden Mickey that only appears once a year. Did you know that on Mickey Mouse's birthday, a special light illuminates a hidden Mickey on the ground? If you’re visiting in November, you might want to keep an eye out for it! Storybook Circus and the First Roller Coaster We find ourselves in Storybook Circus where nostalgia hits hard. We reminisce about the old ToonTown and the joy of introducing our kids to Goofy’s Barnstormer. "It's a great little first roller coaster, not rough by any manner." The Future of Tomorrowland and Tron Finally, we touch on the anticipated Tron ride, which is shaping up to be one of the best on property. Though it doesn't open with early entry, the excitement is palpable. We wrap up our discussion with reflections on how the Magic Kingdom continues to evolve, and what it means for the future of our visits. This episode is packed with our personal experiences, controversial opinions, and a few laughs along the way. For those who share our deep affection for Disney, we hope our insights resonate with you.

DISNEY PARKS SERIES | OUR CONTROVERSIAL LEAST FAVOURITE PARK
Magic Kingdom: The Controversial FavoriteExploring the highs and lows of Disney's crown jewel. Welcome to this week’s exploration of Disney’s Magic Kingdom, a park often seen as the crown jewel of Walt Disney World. Despite its iconic status, this episode dives into why it ranks as a surprising least favorite for us. Magic Kingdom is undeniably beautiful, from the stunning castle to the meticulously themed lands. Yet, for us, it often feels overwhelmingly busy. As Ashley puts it, "It's just too busy all the time." We love the charm, but the crowds can make it hard to enjoy. While the crowds can be daunting, there are hidden gems worth discovering. "If you know, you know," Ashley shares, referencing the lesser-known delights that can easily be overlooked. From the Nutella waffle at Sleepy Hollow to the enchanting Festival of Fantasy Parade, there are moments that shine amidst the chaos. Food is a significant aspect of the Disney experience, and Magic Kingdom presents a mixed bag. While we adore the snacks, "the food's a big thing in Magic Kingdom," Ashley states. The dining plan can be tricky here, with limited options for proper meals. Walking down Main Street USA is a nostalgic experience, one that brings back memories for both of us. "Each and every time they still see the castle they're wow," reflecting on how this moment resonates with families visiting. Though Magic Kingdom may not be our top choice, it holds a special place in our hearts. The memories created here are irreplaceable, and we wouldn’t trade them for anything. Join us as we navigate through the park’s wonders and quirks, and don’t forget to check out the full episode for more insights and stories! --- Catch us next time as we continue our series, ranking each park from our least favorite to our most cherished. Until then, keep the magic alive! A Park of Contradictions Hidden Gems and Notable Experiences Dining Dilemma The Magic of Main Street Final Thoughts

DISNEY DINING PLAN - part2
The Ultimate Guide to the Disney Dining Plan: What You Need to Know Planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to choosing the right dining options. With the Disney Dining Plan, you have a convenient way to prepay for your meals, but is it right for you? In this post, we’ll delve into what the Disney Dining Plan entails, how to maximize its value, and practical tips for making the most of your experience. ## Understanding the Disney Dining Plan The Disney Dining Plan allows guests to prepay for their meals at Walt Disney World, providing a budget-friendly option for dining. It comes in various tiers, each offering different types of meal credits, including quick service and table service meals. ### What’s Included? - **Meal Credits**: Depending on the plan you choose, meal credits can be used for quick service meals, table service meals, and snacks. - **Alcoholic Beverages**: In some plans, you can also include alcoholic beverages, which can enhance your dining experience. - **Character Dining Experiences**: Certain table service credits can be used for character dining, which is a popular choice for families. ### How to Choose the Right Plan Choosing the right dining plan depends on your group’s preferences and dining habits. Consider: - **Length of Stay**: Longer stays may benefit from a more comprehensive plan. - **Dining Preferences**: If your group prefers quick service over table service, a plan with more quick service credits may be beneficial. - **Budget**: Evaluate your budget to determine how much you’re willing to spend on meals. ## Maximizing Your Dining Plan Value To get the most out of your Disney Dining Plan, consider the following strategies: ### 1. Research Quick Service Locations Knowing which quick service locations offer the best value can help you stretch your credits. Some places, like Backlot Express and Cosmic Rays, provide hearty meals that can easily satisfy your hunger without breaking the bank. ### 2. Use Mobile Ordering Mobile ordering is a game-changer at Disney parks. You can order your meal in advance, choose a pickup time, and skip the lines, making it easier to enjoy your day without unnecessary waits. ### 3. Be Mindful of Snack Credits Snack credits can be easily wasted on items that aren't worth it. Instead, use them for more substantial snacks like the famous Dole Whip or bakery items at Epcot. ### 4. Adjusting Credits If you’re traveling with children, consider switching kids’ meal credits for adult credits at certain locations. This can provide a better value when ordering meals at restaurants that don’t offer children’s menus. ## Common Mistakes to Avoid Even seasoned Disney-goers can make mistakes when navigating the dining plan. Here are some pitfalls to avoid: - **Not Using All Your Credits**: Make sure to plan your meals to utilize all your credits before they expire at the end of your trip. - **Assuming Everything is Included**: Not every item is covered under the dining plan. Always check what’s included before ordering to avoid unexpected charges. - **Underestimating Portions**: Disney meals can be large, so consider sharing meals or saving leftovers. ## Conclusion The Disney Dining Plan can be a fantastic way to manage your food budget while enjoying the diverse dining experiences at Walt Disney World. By understanding how it works, researching your options, and planning ahead, you can make the most of your dining plan and create memorable dining experiences during your trip. ### Key Takeaways - Choose the right plan based on your group’s needs. - Use mobile ordering to save time. - Be strategic about your snack credits. - Avoid common mistakes to maximize your dining experience.

Ashley chats with Lisa about her top tips when travelling to Disney World for the first time in over 20 years! And the infamous CHEESE GRATER makes an appearance.
Planning a Disney holiday can be an exhilarating yet overwhelming experience, especially when it comes to booking accommodations and activities. In this blog post, we’ll explore the insights shared by Lisa, who recently took her family on a magical trip to Disney World. From managing stress and expectations to making the most of your stay, we’ll cover essential tips that will ease the planning process and enhance your Disney experience. The Joy of Planning a Disney Holiday Planning a Disney holiday can often feel like navigating a complex maze, especially with the various options available for accommodations, dining, and activities. Lisa shared that the planning process was made significantly easier by contacting our page. This allowed her to focus on the fun aspects of the trip without getting bogged down by the details. Why Choosing the Right Accommodation Matters One of the first decisions Lisa had to make was whether to stay on-site at a Disney resort or opt for a villa. She weighed the pros and cons and ultimately chose to stay on-site. This option provided her family with convenient access to the parks and the comfort of being in the Disney bubble. Staying on-site also alleviated concerns about transportation and parking, which can add extra stress to the experience. Managing Dietary Preferences Traveling with kids who have specific dietary preferences can be challenging, but Lisa found a solution by packing snacks and meals from home. She ensured that her children had familiar foods available at the quick service locations, such as mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and plain pasta. By preparing packed lunches in advance, she reduced the stress of finding suitable dining options in the parks. This strategy also allowed for a more efficient use of their time, as they could eat breakfast in their room and head straight to the parks without delays. Embracing New Experiences One of the highlights of Lisa's trip was the opportunity to experience new attractions. Thanks to Mrs WDW_with_me, the family was able to enjoy the opening day of the new Bluey experience at Animal Kingdom after managing to snag that all important virtual queue. This was a memorable moment, as it added an extra layer of excitement to their visit. Each new experience at Disney allows families to create lasting memories that they will cherish for years to come. The Importance of Flexibility Another insightful takeaway from Lisa's trip was the need for flexibility during the visit. While it’s essential to have a plan, being too rigid can lead to unnecessary stress. Lisa emphasized the importance of being open to spontaneous experiences and allowing her children to explore and enjoy activities that caught their interest, even if they weren't part of the original itinerary. Key Takeaways Planning a Disney holiday doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Here are some key takeaways to keep in mind: - **Hire Help**: Consider using a travel consultant familiar with Disney to help plan your trip. - **Stay On-Site**: Staying at a Disney resort can reduce transportation stress and keep you in the Disney experience. - **Prepare for Dietary Needs**: Bring snacks and meals to accommodate picky eaters and save time in the parks. - **Be Open to New Experiences**: Embrace the excitement of new attractions and allow for flexibility in your plans. By following these tips, you can ensure that your Disney holiday is as magical and stress-free as possible. Happy planning!
