Many come from vulnerable families, including immigrants and refugees. These kids have had to grow up fast, and Actur is often the only place where they truly get to be kids. But their patio, their only “backyard” — is falling apart. There is loose gravel everywhere, only one small drinking fountain that is already breaking down, and the patio hasn’t been renovated in 28 years. We want to help change that. Our mission is to help build the kids the patio of their dreams, a safe place to play, laugh, grow, and simply be children again.
