Podcast Overview

Welcome to the “We are seasonal” podcast with me, Addy, as your host. I’m menstrual cycle coach and psychology graduate who supports women to improve their mental and emotional wellbeing through the lens of menstrual cycle awareness. I’m passionate about helping women re-discover themselves as cyclic beings, allowing them to relish in the growth and transformation that this framework brings. Here I will share conversations I have with the inspiring people in my life and in this community, and explore topics like mental wellbeing, body image, menstrual cycle awareness and the cyclical wisdom we can see in all of natures cycles around us, that help us better understand ourselves and our journeys. We are seasonal is a place for cyclic beings to feel at home and understood in this linear world. A place to stay in connection with our menstrual cycles and flow with our ever-changing and evolving nature. And a place to share or be inspired by stories through the cycle of darkness and light. So tune in and lets flow with the seasons, together.

addyinnerrhythm.substack.com

How Fertility Awareness Method can help you Reclaim your TRUE Cyclic Nature

Hi loves,

Today on the podcast we have beautiful Nat from @itsnaturallynat. Nat is a fertility awareness educator and functional hormone specialist who is on a mission to educate women about their bodies, help them learn to pinpoint their fertility for reproductive purposes, and understand how to sustainably reach health as a woman.

Nat has such a wealth of knowledge around body literacy and she shares such a grounded approach to supporting women to understand and respond to their bodies signals.

For this months topic; Nature, the first person who came to mind was Nat. She incorporates nature into her teachings and really leans on nature as such a vital self-care practice and as a source of wisdom for understanding our cyclic blueprints. I felt her connection with nature could inspire us all to re-connect with nature through the lens of our cycles.

I absolutely loved this conversation about how fertility awareness is the portal to deeply understanding ourselves individually and in the context of being part of nature. Nat shares about FAM and how you might use it as well as some wonderful ways she has learnt to connect with nature as a way to support her ever-changing body, and how you can too.

You can find Nat at:

@itsnaturallynat

Thank you so much for listening to the “We Are Seasonal” Podcast.
Hi loves,

Today on the podcast we have the gorgeous Hali Taft. Hali is a menstrual cycle educator who’s driving passion is teaching women how to take healing into their own hands through cycle awareness, nourishment and herbalism.

If you know Hali, you know what a kind, gentle and gorgeous human she is. Her and I connected over instagram and have been internet pals (or modern pen pans) for a year or more. I just love the way she works with plants and herbs to support her emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health. I highly recommend heading over to her online world @halitaft and follow along as she shares beautiful tea blends and elixirs, plant medicine and the intuitive journey which is the feminine healing.

I absolutely loved this conversation about how plants can be our friends who support us in all different ways. Hali shares about her story of coming off the pill, connecting with her cycle and coming to herbalism as a way to support her cyclic body and to honour the lineage of homemade herbalists in her family.

I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did ✨

You can find Hali at:

https://www.thefemininehealing.com/

@halitaft

Thank you so much for listening to the “We Are Seasonal” Podcast. Episode thumbnail for Eating Disorders, Looking Beyond the Harsh Voice of the Inner Critic & Surrendering to the Cyclic & Long-Term Nature of Healing.

Eating Disorders, Looking Beyond the Harsh Voice of the Inner Critic & Surrendering to the Cyclic & Long-Term Nature of Healing.

Holly is a holistic, recovered, and CCI-certified ED recovery coach & podcast host of the Beyond Body Podcast. Her recovery practice, Hi Beautiful focuses on individualised treatment, embodied integration, conscious living, and connection to self being the core of recovery. She’s an avid surfer, gardener, meditator, amateur, and passionate home chef with a love for all things slow, books, mindfulness, community, and days of sun.

Holly and I met earlier this year when I had a relapse in my eating disorder and I began receiving coaching from her. I remember seeing Holly’s gorgeous Hi, Beautiful pamphlet on the back of a toilet door somewhere in Byron and luckily thought to take a photo of it, just in case (I must have known a storm was coming). I love her approach because it is realistic in the way she explores long-term healing over quick fixes and body neutrality over body positivity. Plus, she is just a great human being and I always love talking to her, so I thought who better to call in for a conversation on the inner critic than her?!

As you can tell by the title of this podcast, we covered the topic of the inner critic from the lens of eating disorders, and we covered it FAR and WIDE. In this episode we talk about the nature of eating disorders, how a disconnect happens between the mind and body, the reality of healing, the inner critic’s nature, motivations, and how to dismantle this loud and savage voice, amongst so much more.

I loved this conversation and I feel anyone will really benefit from hearing Holly’s wonderful words of truth.

You can find Holly at:

www.hibeautiful.com.au

@hi.beautiful____

Beyond Body Podcast

Thank you so much for listening to the “We Are Seasonal” Podcast.
