We Couldn't Help But Wonder - A Journey Through Sex and the City

About We Couldn't Help But Wonder - A Journey Through Sex and the City

Mike Jensen has seen the Sex and the City series many times. Elise Castle has never seen a single episode. "We Couldn't Help But Wonder" what would happen if these two went on an episode by episode journey through the whole series. Join us as Mike watches for the (insert embarrassing number here) time and Elise is watching for the very first. We will discuss how the series holds up almost 20 years later, our own experiences living in NYC, and the debate over too much cranberry juice in the Cosmopolitan.

S13 Ep14: And Just Like That... If We Never Meet Again...

No clips, just conversation. Elise and Mike take one more chance to talk about both Sex And The City, and And Just Like That... They talk about what took them so long to record this last episode, answer many (many) listener questions, share the things they just can't quite let go of, and, in sharing the thing they ended up loving the most about this series, the character they think grew the most, while staying true to themselves. I've heard it said...

S13 Ep13: And Just Like That... Party Of One

As the series comes to a close, Miranda and Lisa talk about marriage, and reconnect with their husbands, Seema decides whether she can be happy with certain things she may have to give up, Anthony confronts Giuseppe with his suspicion about their engagement, and Carrie contemplates being alone versus being on her own. Elise and Mike have a lot of thoughts about how this series, and entire universe perhaps, is being put to rest, including that final line. Plus, coffee mug plants.

S13 Ep12: And Just Like That... Forget About The Boy

Seema and Adam take a shower and make some plans. Harry tries to convince Charlotte to have a stay at home Thanksgiving. Giuseppe and Anthony have an announcement. Rock takes center stage. Herbert acts like an @$$ hat. Carrie struggles with whether or not her living situation still makes sense. And Elise and Mike spend quite a bit of time discussing the original Broadway production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Gimme, Gimme, indeed!

[…] And I'm not saying you shouldn't do it. But like there are going to be complications there. There are going to be implications. And, and even Anthony saying like he doesn't know if Giuseppe wants to marry him or mommy him. Yeah. And I think that it doesn't, you can be the most mature at 29 -year -old. But when someone 30 plus years is marrying you, there are going to be moments that they're going to feel like that because they just had more life experience. So there's things that you just haven't had to do yet that they're going to teach you about. And that's going to be consistent throughout your relationship. […]
