Ep. 31 - Our end of year recap!

This week we’re fully embracing the end-of-year slump: Baileys in tea, incense burning, and zero prep. Classic We Will Manage Mondays energy, but on a Thursday! We catch up on everything that’s been happening behind the scenes — Alba settling into her new London flat (and trying not to buy every plant she sees), and Saoirse navigating the wild transition of going 80% into her startup while still wrapping up loose ends at her current job. Big moves all around. We talk raises, trial periods, chaotic Decembers, unrealistic goals, Lapland plans, and that weird bittersweet mix of exhaustion and pride you get at the end of a long year. Plus, the ongoing saga of Viny Ragnar — the most dramatic plant in Europe. Season 2 is nearly done (!!), so we also share a bit about what’s coming next, our tiny winter break, and why contracts (even in friendships and flat shares) continue to be our favourite personality trait. If you’re rushing to finish work goals, drowning in Christmas presents, or simply horizontal on your sofa… we’re right there with you. Thanks for being with us this year — we love you lots. __ Welcome to "We will Manage" podcast. Hosted by Alba and Saoirse, two young professionals figuring out the working world — one conversation at a time. With the mission to create an honest work-related community, we dive into the good, the bad and the messy parts of navigating your career. Expect real-life stories, special guests sharing hard-earned lessons, and practical insights on everything from office politics to achieving a healthier work-life balance. “We Will Manage” keeps it authentic and light hearted—reminding you that absolutely no one has it all figured out, not even Bezos. Alba, branding specialist and business owner, and Saoirse, materials engineer and project manager, grew up together in a small Spanish village and after taking very different career paths as ambitious young professionals, they ended up in similar situations with two very different points of view. When noticing that they often looked to those around them to navigate the complexity of the working world, they decided to create a community for all those that seek an external view on what's normal. Passionate about learning from other's experiences and discussing just about any topic, they are ready to unveil the secrets of the workplace. So whether you are a young entrepreneur or a senior manager, join the Workplace Collective to laugh, learn and feel a bit less alone. Hosted on Acast. We Will Manage: Our Dreams

In this episode, we finally do what we promised a while ago: we let AI psychoanalyze our childhood dreams. (Because if you can’t trust a robot to unpack your emotional baggage… who can you trust?) Saoirse revisits her iconic recurring dinosaur nightmare — yes, she was always hiding in terrible hiding spots, and yes, her brain apparently had reasons. Meanwhile, Alba talks through her lifelong habit of dreaming as completely different people… including, at one point, a very tired old man. Totally normal, according to ChatGPT. Comforting? We get into emotional development, childhood fears, growing up, and why your dream self might look absolutely nothing like you. Plus: mid-20s existential crises, family dynamics, moving countries, and the strange relief of learning you’re not actually unwell — just in your late twenties. If you’ve got a weird dream you want us to analyze next… send it in. We’re clearly experts now. Unlike our long-form We Will Manage episodes, We Will Manage Mondays are short, snappy, and packed with real-life updates and behind-the-scenes stories. Uploaded on the last Monday of every month, think of these as a little extra pick me up to finish the month off strong. We Will Manage is a lighthearted business podcast hosted by Alba and Saoirse — two childhood friends navigating careers, creativity, and modern work life with honesty, curiosity, and plenty of laughs. Each week we share stories, insights, and moments of chaos from the worlds of branding, engineering, and beyond. Whether you’re figuring it out or just need company while you do, you’re in good hands. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy (https://acast.com/privacy) for more information.

Ep. 030 – Inside the weird world of dreams // Sleepwalking, astral projection & shared dreaming

Your dreams are about to get weird. This episode covers the big questions: Why do some people control their dreams? Why do some of us wake up unable to move? Can your consciousness “leave” your body? Why do people sleepwalk, sleeptalk or even sleep-eat? And… can two people really have the same dream? We’re talking science, stories and everything in between. Welcome to "We will Manage" podcast.
