Building Resilience with Kim Llumiquinga
Episode Summary | In this episode of Wealth Coherence, Emily Bouchard is joined by Kim Llumiquinga for a thoughtful conversation on resilience and how it is developed over time. Together, they explore the role that challenge, discomfort, and lived experience play in shaping confidence, capability, and personal strength. As families gain access to more resources, many of the natural friction points of life can quietly disappear. While often well-intentioned, removing struggle can also remove the very conditions that help individuals build resilience. Emily and Kim reflect on parenting, rising generation dynamics, and the balance between support and independence, sharing real examples of how resilience can be fostered intentionally. The conversation highlights the importance of allowing space for mistakes, encouraging responsibility, and creating opportunities for meaningful contribution. At its core, resilience is not something that can be given. It is something that is built through experience, guidance, and trust over time. This episode is an invitation to think more deeply about how resilience shows up within families, and how it can be nurtured in ways that support long-term growth, confidence, and coherence.
