He will be returning for the 2026 Lily Dale summer season to teach about his artistic process. John and Willa explored how immersive art can serve as a portal for self-discovery and spiritual connection, while also touching on John's artistic process with creating immersive landscapes that connect viewers to natural settings and personal emotions. They discussed John's previous experience as an artist-in-residence at Lily Dale and his approach to helping others quiet their inner critics to access their authentic creative voices. In an extensive art project, John conducted sessions with various spirit mediums (including Willa) that he used for inspiration of an immersive art exhibit that combined visual and audio. John A. Rice is a New York City-based artist, writer, and actor known for his expressive oil pastel work and deeply intuitive creative process.
