His Niece: Making Noise with Rosie Juarez - WTF El Paso Podcast #7

The name Richard Ramirez is etched into the dark history of American True Crime as a monster who terrorized California in the 1980s. But long before the headlines and the "Night Stalker’s" rise to fame, he was just a kid from El Paso. And to a little girl named Rosie, he was simply Tío Richie. In this episode of Weird Tales from El Paso, we’re moving beyond the paranormal to focus on a story of healing and survival. I sit down with Rosie Juarez to discuss her new memoir, His Niece:“Love Always, Your Tio Richie” and the Silence That Followed. This is a grounded conversation about a childhood caught between ordinary family moments and extraordinary trauma, the resilience of the human spirit, and the light on the other side of a thirty-year silence. Order the memoir here. Special Guests: Rosie Juarez, Author of His Niece : “Love Always, Your Tio Richie” and the Silence That Followed https://www.rosierjuarez.com/ Show Notes Available at https://www.bluelabpro.com/wtfelpasoblog/wtfelpaso7

Moving Forward - WTF El Paso Podcast

Thanks for tuning in to Weird Tales From El Paso. This project has been a labor of love for me, and I hope you all enjoyed it. I can’t thank the guests of the podcast enough for sharing their time, expertise, and stories, and for really taking this podcast to the next level. I also want to thank all my friends and family who supported me along the way. This wasn’t an easy project to put together, and I couldn't have done it without each of you. So now, just a few things about what comes next. While I dropped this first batch of episodes simultaneously, moving forward, I'll be producing and releasing individual episodes one at a time. All the research, scripting, and logistics involved in putting them together during my free time as a one-man team isn’t easy, so doing it this way will help me keep my sanity and make sure that each episode gets the right amount of time and effort it needs. Obviously, that also means this won’t be a weekly podcast or one that sticks to a strict release schedule. Still, my plan is to release them somewhat consistently. I’m already into production on a good one we recorded in a haunted jail in New Mexico, and things got spooky, so you’re not gonna want to miss that one! Other topics I’d like to explore are legends of UFOs in the area, the Horizon City Monster, the Smeltertown Cemetery, haunted firehouses in town, legends of the Franklin Mountains, and more. There’s so much to look into and talk about! Also, if you have your own spooky stories to share or ideas for future episodes, please reach out! Your stories and voices are what make this podcast special, so please reach out with any experiences you’d like to share at bluelabpro.com/wtfelpaso.  And if you enjoy the show, please don't forget to leave a review. Stay tuned, stay weird, and thank you again!
