Big Data, Big Science!

ChatGPT habt ihr sicher alle schon mal genutzt. KI-gestützte Bildverarbeitungsprogramme wie Midjourney, Canva oder Mindverse habt ihr vielleicht auch schon ausprobiert. Neben all den Nachteilen, die KI-generierte Bilder für Nutzer*innen mit sich bringen können – Stichworte Fake und Deepfake –, kennt ihr auch die Vorteile für Creator. Die echten gesellschaftlichen Vorteile von KI-generierten Bildern bieten sich jedoch in der Wissenschaft: sie ermöglichen z.B. eine bessere Auswertung von Krebsanalysen oder eine genauere Vorhersage von Unwetterschäden – Themen, mit denen sich auch die Forschung in Adlershof auseinandersetzt und aktiv mitarbeitet. Die großen Chancen durch Big Data und KI sind unser Thema in der neuen Ausgabe von "Weiß der Adler". Dazu sprechen wir mit Benjamin Hohnhäuser von der Gesellschaft zur Förderung angewandter Informatik e.V. (GFaI) und Prof. Dr. Ulf Leser von der HU Berlin.

"Das war so nicht vorhersehbar" - 30 Jahre danach

In der neuen Ausgabe von Weiß der Adler schauen wir mal zurück, wie alles begann. Denn das 30-jährige Jubiläum der Entwicklungsmaßnahme Johannisthal / Adlershof steht an. Wir sprechen mit Leuten, die fast von Anfang an dabei waren, und mit denen, die heute diese Ecke für das Berlin von morgen gestalten. Vom isolierten Ostberliner Randbezirk zur weltweit anerkannten Forschungsstadt – aber nicht nur das, denn in Adlershof wird auch gewohnt, und künftig soll dort noch viel mehr Wohnraum entstehen.
