Duell – Enemy at the Gates (2001) - Sniper-Spektakel und artifizielle Akzente
Guess who’s back, back again? Zurück aus der Versenkung meldet sich der Filmpodcast eures Vertrauens mit einer von zwei mittlerweile quasi historischen Episoden, die fast für immer verschollen wären und euch nun frisch aufgewärmt für euren Hörgenuss kredenzt werden. Hier wartet uns Oli mit einem Zweikampf an frischen Kategorien auf und setzt sich dabei mal wieder mindestens einmal in die eigens gepflanzten Nesseln: Unter „Olis Kunst des Krieges“ und „Olis Easy Watching“ beschäftigen wir uns mit „Duell – Enemy at the Gates“ (Enemy at the Gates, 2001). Jean-Jacques Annauds WWII-Drama über den Scharfschützen-Showdown zwischen einem russischen Nationalhelden und einem Nazi-Major serviert uns hochkarätige anglophone Stars mit einigen deutschen Kartoffeln als Beilage. Wie leicht bekömmlich das für uns tatsächlich ist, wie eindeutig sich dieser Film zum Sozialismus positioniert und wie erfolgreich sich hier Sniper-Duell und Liebes-Triell dramaturgisch die Waage halten, sind nur einige der Fragen, die wir in dieser Folge zu beantworten versuchen. Und zum Abschluss widmen wir uns noch einem von Janis‘ absoluten Herzensthemen und verraten unsere favorisierten russischen Fake-Akzente. Tune back in, it’s a win!
