Eyes To See, Hearts To Care (Oct. 18/26)
In this message, Pastor Lucas Chance explores what it means to live with genuine compassion. Looking at Jesus’ example in Matthew 9 and the healing of the lame beggar in Acts 3, we’re challenged to see people through God’s eyes, feel with His heart, and act with His purpose.
Compassion calls us beyond our own plans and comfort. God can use our time, prayers, resources, and willingness to serve to make a difference in someone’s life. We may not always know where to begin, but we can start by helping the person right in front of us.
Compassion is more than feeling — it’s taking action.

What is the difference between receiving God's blessings and truly responding to His goodness?
In Luke 17:11–19, Jesus heals ten men with leprosy, but only one returns to thank Him. All ten experience physical healing, yet the grateful man's encounter with Jesus points to something deeper: spiritual wholeness and salvation. His story reminds us that genuine thankfulness is about more than what we receive; it is about recognizing the One who gives and responding to Him in faith.
Drawing also on John 4:7–12 and Philippians 4:6–7, guest speaker George Krahn explores how God's generous love should transform our hearts and shape the way we live.
True thanksgiving moves beyond words. As we recognize God's goodness and the price Jesus paid to set us free, we are challenged to live with grateful hearts, generous hands, and a willingness to love others the way God has loved us.
