In this Bible class, we return to Luke 15 and explore how its message reaches far beyond the parables of the lost sheep, lost coin, and lost sons. Using the stories of Martha and Mary in Luke 10 and John 11–12, we examine how Jesus responds to people with different personalities, struggles, and ways of expressing their faith.

Rather than treating Martha as a negative example, this lesson takes a closer look at her interactions with Jesus and the deep faith she demonstrates during some of the most difficult moments of her life. Through the raising of Lazarus and the familiar account of Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet, we see a Savior who understands both our strengths and our weaknesses and invites us to keep coming back to Him.

Whether you identify more with Martha’s diligent service or Mary’s quiet devotion, this study offers encouragement that faithful discipleship is not about perfection. It is about trusting Christ, growing through our struggles, and continuing to follow Him with the gifts and opportunities He has given us.

What happens when you compare one of history’s most power-hungry rulers with the King of Kings?

In this Bible class, we examine the life of Herod the Great and contrast his leadership with that of Jesus Christ. Herod spent his life protecting his position through fear, paranoia, and control, while Jesus demonstrated a completely different kind of authority—one marked by humility, service, sacrifice, and love. Through passages like Ezekiel 34, John 10, and Philippians 2, we see the difference between a ruler who used people for his own gain and a Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep.

Along the way, we explore the dangers of power, the responsibilities of leadership, and the example Christ leaves for all believers. Whether you lead in your home, workplace, church, or community, this lesson offers a powerful reminder that true greatness is found not in being served, but in serving others.

In this week’s Bible class, we take a closer look at the life of Barnabas — one of the most encouraging and uplifting Christians we read about in the New Testament. Through passages in Acts and Galatians, we see a man known for generosity, humility, compassion, and giving others a second chance.

This lesson explores how Barnabas helped strengthen the early church by encouraging fellow believers, supporting new Christians, and putting the work of God ahead of personal recognition. We’re also reminded that even faithful servants of God are imperfect and continually depend on His grace and forgiveness.

If you’ve ever needed encouragement — or needed a reminder to be an encourager to others — this study offers practical and timeless lessons for Christians today.
