   40 - Tax Advantaged Ways to Donate (DAFs, appreciated stock, QCDs) and Fundraising Psychology

   Join Erin Starck, Julie Kelly and me as we talk about some alternative ways to donate money to charity that may be more tax advantagous that simply writing a check. You may not know this about me, but aside from being a cyclist, husnabd and Dad I'm a CPA with 20+ tax seasons under my belt. I've been around the block a few times and am more than comfortable talking about tax concepts and educating people in regard to income tax. ... and now for the obvious: THIS SHOW IS NOT TAX ADVICE! We're going to talk about some fundamentals around philanthropy, and I'll weigh in on what I would be comfortable reporting on a tax return I'm signing, but you should really take these concepts to your own tax professional to determine what's appropriate for your given circumstance.
