Every person gets the same 24 hours in a day.
The difference between average and exceptional often comes down to how those hours are used — and who you choose to impact with them.
In this episode of What Do You Do With Your 24?, Tyler Rickstrew sits down with David Medford, owner and operator of Dave’s Detail & Aftermarket Headquarters in Wichita, Kansas.
David has built a reputation in the automotive world for quality work and attention to detail, with his shop handling everything from professional detailing to aftermarket upgrades and full shop services.
But running a business is only part of how David uses his 24 hours.
He also serves as an Auto Collision and Refinishing Instructor with Wichita Public Schools, teaching students at South High School in what is currently the only collision and refinishing program offered at the high school level in the entire state of Kansas.
Through that program, David is doing more than teaching a trade — he’s helping students discover careers, develop skills, and build confidence in a path many people overlook.
Outside the shop and classroom, David is also a coach, a family man, and someone deeply committed to investing in the next generation.
In this episode we talk about:
• Building a business in the automotive industry • Why skilled trades are more important than ever • Creating opportunities for young people through hands-on learning • Balancing business ownership, teaching, and family life • Using your 24 hours to build people, not just products
If you care about entrepreneurship, mentorship, skilled trades, and investing in the next generation, this episode is one you’ll want to hear.

What Do You Do With Your 24? | TPS Group
Every person gets the same 24 hours in a day.
The difference between average and exceptional often comes down to how those hours are used — especially when the stakes are high.
In this episode of What Do You Do With Your 24?, Tyler Rickstrew sits down with MyQuez Todd, CEO of TPS Group, an executive protection company providing close protection and security services nationwide.
MyQuez has spent over a decade operating in high-risk, high-responsibility environments, leading protection, investigative, and emergency response operations for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals across the United States.
His work revolves around risk management, situational awareness, and making calm, effective decisions when pressure is at its highest.
But protection isn’t just about reacting to danger — it’s about preparation.
Today, MyQuez also dedicates his time to training civilians, law enforcement, and organizations in firearms, tactics, and operating effectively under stress. His philosophy focuses heavily on discipline, restraint, and readiness long before a crisis ever occurs.
In this episode we talk about:
• What executive protection actually looks like behind the scenes • The mindset required to operate in high-risk environments • Risk management and situational awareness in everyday life • Training civilians and professionals to perform under pressure • Leadership and discipline when people are relying on you
This conversation isn’t about fear.
It’s about readiness, leadership, and how you choose to use your 24 hours when the stakes are real.
