About What is a Biblical Woman?
Hosted by Charity, this podcast explores what it looks like to walk in Biblical Womanhood. The goal and heart of this podcast is to talk about the joys and difficult issues we as women face and to bring encouragement from the wisdom of God! In a day and age where womanhood is under attack, we need to know how to walk as a woman who fears the Lord! Biblical Womanhood is in opposition to cultural feminism and calls us to walk in the opposite spirit with the love of Jesus. Charity is publishing a book on singleness in 2026!

Ann- Intimacy with the Lord & Faithfulness
In this episode, Ann shares the importance of walking in intimacy with the Lord. We need to know God and spend time with Him, hear Him and obey, and walk out faithfulness to Him. If you're in a season and feel like God has spoken things over your life or given you gifts and talents and promises that you haven't been able to use or haven't seen fulfilled, trust the process. Don't rush ahead of God but continue to be faithful. He cares more about who you're becoming than getting you to a destination. Life doesn't always look like what we think, but as we continue to walk in obedience through the doors He opens for us, we can trust that He will grow us into who He desires for us to be. Ann also shares about her story of singleness, dating, and marriage to her husband, Kevin, and how sometimes lots of voices can bring confusion and weighing all the pros and cons, but we need to go to the source, Jesus, to hear what He is speaking. Trusting that no one is perfect, but God can always lead us toward His best for us. I loved recording this episode with Ann, we pray it encourages you to hear God and obey and walk out faithfulness to Him in every season, especially when life might not look like what you hoped or planned!

Zoe Sumrall- Singleness
In this episode, I sit down with Zoe Sumrall, my roommate, and we talk about her story of dating and singleness and what God wants to do in us and through us in our singleness. Thank you Zoe for your vulnerability and wisdom! If you're single and struggling, you're not alone. Don't let yourself spiral into loneliness and depression, even if you've been single for a long time. I'd rather be single and walking out faithfulness to God than be married to someone who isn't God's best and wishing I wasn't married. Don't settle for less than God's best for you because of a desire to be in a relationship and married. Find your value and worth in the Lord, surround yourself with healthy community, and walk out in faithfulness what God's given you to be fruitful with. If you're married and struggling, we will talk about how to walk out faithfulness in those difficult seasons in a future episode!

Jacqueline Walker- Lordship, Spiritual Gifts
In this episode I sit down with Jacqueline Walker; she and her husband Tim are elders at GCF and she runs the children's ministry and is an elementary school teacher. She carries such wisdom in how to walk in fear of the Lord and shares her testimony as well as how we can walk in our spiritual gifts. There are so many great nuggets here, we pray it encourages you, blesses you, and calls you to greater surrender to Jesus as the Lord of your life!

One Day- Charity Cavari (YWAM COS 2025 commencement)
In this episode, this message was shared for YWAM Colorado Springs Dec 2025 Commencement. I talk about the importance and power of ONE DAY. The hope and goal of this message is that you would walk in the fullness of what God has for you today. That His grace is sufficient for today. You can focus on: "How can I obey and bring you glory today, God?" This short commissioning message was given to a group of 40 DTS (Discipleship Training School), DBS (Discipleship Bible School), and SOSM (School of Strategic Missions) graduates in addition to friends, family, and staff. I'm so thankful and honored for the opportunity to share this message and really felt God speaking to encourage us with the importance of what we can do to bring God glory with one day. His mercies are new every morning! Thank you Jesus that I can choose today to honor you and love others the way you would.

Joye Cavari- Healing From Sexual Assault and Fear
In this episode, my mom (Joye) talks about a difficult topic, discussing her sexual assault while she and my dad were in full-time ministry. I'm so thankful for her desire to share such a vulnerable part of her story. Her desire in this testimony is to help others to know that they are not alone, that we don't always understand why God allows such difficult things to happen, but there is a greater strength and deeper faith available to us on the other side of healing and breakthrough. She talks about being delivered of fear and how God never promises us a life free from difficulty but always promises to be with us, to give us grace, and to redeem every situation. The question we tend to ask is "why" but what she felt God prompt her to ask is "How can God get the most glory out of this?" The testimony of her strength through weakness is so encouraging and tender to me. I'm so challenged by some of the comments she makes; I don't want to ruin it for you so take the time to hear for yourself! If you or someone you know has been through something difficult like this, please know you're not alone, and there is power in sharing your story to find healing and freedom on the other side. Jesus wants to heal, free, redeem, and restore all things and He will if you let Him! Thank you for taking the time to listen, we pray this blesses your heart.

Suzan (hosted by Joye)- Spiritual Warfare and God's Grace/Redemption Through Difficulties.
In this episode, Suzan sits down with Joye Cavari (they are prayer partners and highly recommend having one if you don't already!) and shares about some of the difficulties her and husband walked through with infertility, spiritual warfare, suicidal ideation in their family, and living on the mission field. She has some amazing insight and wisdom about being in the word and praying against the enemy. You can see she speaks from experience because in her upbringing she didn't know much about spiritual warfare and felt unprepared for the warfare that came on the mission field, but God taught her how to pray, study the word, and combat the enemy. Her encouragement that there is nothing God's grace isn't sufficient for, nothing that His love can't forgive and redeem, is a powerful encouragement if you. *Please be warned, some of this content might be difficult for young listeners. If you or someone you know struggles with any of the topics discussed in this podcast, please reach out to a pastor or another believer to pray for you and break off any assignment of the enemy, and close any doors that may have been opened through sin, abuse, neglect, sin from others, etc. God is faithful and you are not alone, and there is nothing you've done that can't be healed, forgiven, restored, and redeemed by Jesus Christ! 2 Cor. 12:9-10.

Nikki Martin- Marriage: Brokenness, Forgiveness, and Non-Traditional roles
In this episode I sit down with Nikki Martin. Her and her husband Sam have 4 teenagers and live in NC. They've been married since 1998 and got saved and saw their marriage restored in 2002. In this episode Nikki opens up in true vulnerability about their struggles, the importance of sexual purity, healing, and finding forgiveness and redemption in Jesus. Nikki works full-time while Sam is raising the kids so we get into what that has looked like for them having non-traditional roles and how they parent/raise their children. I love how she talks about the importance of even though they have non-traditional jobs for who does what in their family, it is so ordained by the Lord and they still advocate for a Biblical marriage where the man is the head of the household. I'm so thankful for the history of relationship with them, I've known them since I was 10 years old and have seen the faithfulness of the values they have in their family: Grace, Generosity, and Gratefulness. You won't want to miss this episode!

Mary Margaret Clark- What Your Burning Heart Knows
In this episode, I sit down with Mary Margaret Clark and we talk about the book she is writing: What Your Burning Heart Knows: Living the Untold Possibilities of God. We talk about the themes in the book, her story in Cambodia, mothering, what does it mean to be a "Burning One?" and more. Mar Mar has been in missions for over 20 years and is the real deal when it comes to someone who lives out what it looks like to know God and disciple others to live out the call of God on their lives. I've loved walking with her the past few years and am so thankful for how she makes it feel so possible to step fully into big dreams that God has for us. Becca Douthat- Missions, Nursing, & Relationships.
On this episode, I sit down with my sister, Becca, who has served in Africa in missions both as a single woman and then later with her husband. We talk about how she has navigated walking faithfully with the call of God on her life through missions, nursing, dating, marriage, and now motherhood; which has included some difficulties with miscarriage and a slightly scary start to bringing a new baby into the world. She is a classic planner, so she talks about both planning but also submitting her plans to the Lord and letting the Lord plan our steps. We also talk briefly about growing up and what we learned from our parents' example! This was a really fun episode for me to record because my sister and I have gone through a lot together and have lived in 3 different states together. We are both fulfilling the call of God on our lives in similar and yet unique ways. I think you'll really enjoy this episode and some of the nuggets you'll pull out of her testimony! Her desire is that everyone listening would walk in faithfulness to the call of God on their lives no matter the season; even when it isn't glamorous. P.S. ONE NOTE: In the episode, we talk about going on "the mission field" but one thing to mention is that we both agree the mission field is wherever you are (not just overseas); however when we talked about it here, we were referring to being somewhere cross-culturally. However, we recognize the mission field looks different for everyone, and that we are all called to our own mission fields no matter what country or town that is in!!! Beckie- Grief, Loss, & God's faithfulness
In this emotional and tender episode, Beckie shares about a devastating loss her family went through in 2024. She gets super vulnerable and honest about the emotions she's experienced and what life has looked like walking out relationships and healing with the Lord. There are so many powerful moments in this episode and times where I tangibly felt God's presence with us in the midst of processing grief and tragedy. This is a very intense subject of loss and grief, but just know there is such beauty that comes from being honest with our emotions, the Lord, and with one another. Our prayer is that you would be encouraged and filled with hope through this episode. That you would know you are loved by the creator and He is with us and mourns with us in our pain. If you or someone you know has experienced a tragedy, please share this with them. May the God of comfort and hope fill you with all peace and the joy of His presence. Joye Cavari- Ministry, Motherhood, and Marriage
In this episode I sit down with my mom, Joye Cavari, and we talk about what it was like for her pastoring a church (beside my dad) as a woman in ministry, raising amazing godly kids ;), and walking in godly marriage. She and my dad, John Cavari, have been pastors of a non-denominational church: Garner Christian Fellowship in Garner, NC, since 1997. She talks about some of the difficulties in relationship and ministry while raising kids, has some incredible wisdom about walking in a godly marriage, and some of the need for having healthy boundaries in marriage and parenting. Apparently, her and my dad's differences of opinion were majorly around raising kids, and they have very little disagreements now that we're all out of the house ;). I loved doing this episode with my mom! You should look forward to more episodes with her to come in the future! Singleness- Charity's testimony
In this episode I share my testimony and talk about singleness. This is a super vulnerable but powerful time of sharing what God has done in my life walking in singleness with Him and how you can walk in faithfulness with the call of God on your life no matter the season of life you're in. I cry a few times, and in the end I take time to pray over you. Let me tell you, God's presence is all over this one so get ready to encounter the Holy Spirit and let Him come and break anything off your life that you want to get set free from. Welcome to the "What is a Biblical Woman?" Podcast! I'm your host, Charity Cavari, and I'm so excited to be launching this podcast where each week I talk with a different guest about topics related to what it looks like to walk as a woman of God according to the Bible! Join me for episode 1 as a I sit down with Kathleen Wunderink! She's a wife, mom to 4 kids four years old and under, and a full-time missionary in Cambodia. Kathleen and her husband, Ben, are leaders of a YWAM base in a remote area where they are serving full-time. They run an English center, soccer ministry, and other ministries to reach the Khmer people with the love of Jesus.In this episode Kathleen shares her testimony and answers some questions about what it looks like to serve as a missionary full-time. Her heart and tenderness to the Lord are so beautiful and she's the kind of woman I look up to for what it looks like to have flexibility as a mom of four young kids living in a remote area serving the Lord!
