Writers Chris Garbutt and Degan Davis take the ultimate deep dive into manhood. We will dig into masculinity in the modern era, starting with the two of us taking a long look in the mirror. We'll share our own stories of becoming and being men, and will delve into how men navigate societal expectations in an era where our very genders are controversial and contested.

What kind of men were the Tragically Hip? They were for decades the seminal Canadian rock & roll band.
Degan and Chris explore masculinity and personal growth through the lens of the documentary "Long Time Running," which chronicles the Hip's final tour.
As fans of the band, they delve into the significance of the Hip's music, band dynamics, and the persona of lead singer Gord Downie. They reflect on the themes of vulnerability, masculine identity, and emotional connection that permeate The Tragically Hip's legacy.
That last tour, especially the nationally televised final concert in Kingston, ON, was a moment of shared grief for Canada, and we couldn't have asked for better guys to represent us.

Identity, heroism, and what it means to do good. In this episode, we review the new Superman movie and explore the superhero's symbolic evolution over the years from a Depression-era champion of the oppressed to a modern-day figure wrestling with the public perception of him as an 'alien.' The episode also delves into broader themes of loneliness, heroism, and the complicated idea of the "maverick" making his own decisions without regard for anyone else's point of view.
