đď¸ *Welcome to* **What People Miss**âthe space where high-achieving men in business can finally set down the performance and reconnect with what is real.
I am **Cordelia Gaffar**, and I work with professionally successful, socially respected menâcorporate leaders and foundersâwho are physically and mentally exhausted, helping them regain strength, confidence, and self-respect without shame, judgement, or emotional overwhelm.
In each episode, we uncover what people miss when they are running companies, leading teams, and scaling visions on emptyâso you can lead with a clear mind, a steady body, and a dignified heart.
Take a breath, loosen your shoulders, and listen in. What you have been trained to push past may be exactly what brings you back to yourself as a man and as a leader.
Everybody's Story Abuse is Different: From Surviving to Processing and Savoring
In this episode, Everybodyâs Story of Abuse Is Different: From Surviving to Processing and Savoring, I invite you to explore the subtle but profound differences between surviving an experience, processing it, and savoring your life because of it.
There is a stark distinction between surviving and savoring where you actually access pleasure on multiple levels. Although in our pattern of overriding our own emotions and feelings we tell ourselves that they are the same.
You can laugh with a tight jaw and clench in your sleep. Attend every ecstatic dance, experience assisted pleasure, and even believe you are healed while still holding patterns, attachments, and protective responses that keep you disconnected from your body and yourself.
Your body knows the truth.
When you surrender, open your jaw even when you are not speaking you will truly free your hips and with it your soul.
Hereâs what I discovered: Survival seeks completion through attachment. Processing invites presence, release, and the freedom to choose differently.
Through my journey with grief, relationships, and somatic awareness, Iâve learned that healing isn't a destination. Itâs an ongoing invitation to feel more, release what no longer serves you, and savor life in all its colors and flavors.
Take a breath. Get curious about what your body is telling you. You may discover that you're not starting over, you're revealing more of who you are.
Because life is not merely something to survive.
It is something to savor.

Other Forms of Touch and Domestic Violence
Other Forms of Touch and Domestic Violence may seem unrelated but when you bring in consent you will quickly connect the dots.
The feedback from last week's episode on kissing has been interesting. One question that was repeated is:
"What are other forms of touch".. akin to kissing but lesser in affect - I'm adding that part.
Listen how consent is often overridden with ample conditioning on both sides of the exchange. The man is taught what to expect and the woman is taught what to accept.
Both get the bare minimum and I offer a way to create erotic repair in the moment.
**Before pressing play ensure that you are capable of hearing stories of extreme domestic violence which may be unsettling or even triggering.**
For support with somatic repair join the 21 Day Reset (https://cordeliagaffar.com/services/personal-development/21-day-erotic-and-somatic-reset-150649705) for Erotic and Somatic Repair.

When Touch Doesnât Feel Safe: Listening to Your Body and Reclaiming Choice
âWhen Touch Doesnât Feel Safe: Listening to Your Body and Reclaiming Choiceâ
Unwanted touch and abuse can have serious mental health effects. When weâre taught to override our discomfort, it can become harder to recognize and honor our boundaries. This month, letâs make room to listen to our bodies and choose what feels safe.
October is breast cancer, mental health and domestic violence awareness month!
How are you caring for your body, emotions and relationships?
It all begins withinâŚAre you rushing to unwanted touch?
As a child were you told to hug that uncle or aunt whose hand đ¤ ended up in a strange place on your body?
Do you feel that ick sometimes with new people or your partner? You may need erotic and somatic repair.
What happens in your body with unwanted touch? Overriding your choice is the beginning and gateway to mental health issues which can escalate in the body to cancer and or escalate in your life as accepting abuse slowly over time.
Join me on October 11th for the 21 day reset. (https://cordeliagaffar.com/services/personal-development/21-day-erotic-and-somatic-reset-150649705)
