<p>What's New to Netflix is alive and well, and we go full speed ahead into some rough terrain with the July 2026 movies and shows that Netflix has got coming out.</p> <p>Also, Russell Crowe portrays a boxer that falls on hard times during the Great Depression but has a comeback that takes America by storm in Cinderella Man from 2005. Then it's the remake of House on Haunted Hill from 1999, which may or may not be too twizzy for audiences that didn't grow up shoplifting nu-metal CDs from Best Buy. And finally, the true story of one man pushed to the edge, a ramshackle hostage situation, and the media circus that followed in Dead Man's Wire from 2025.</p> <p>All of this plus the Riddick and Rocky movies, rom-coms aplenty, World Cup content, J. <p>We are What's New to Netflix, and we're going to break down all of the new stuff coming to Netflix in May 2026, so be sure to take notes!</p> <p>Then it's the first of many one-word movie titles when Idris Elba and his two daughters are stalked by a man-eating lion in Beast from 2022. Next, a hurricane is coming to town, but the worse news is that it's bringing a whole bunch of hungry sharks with it in Thrash from 2026. And finally, it's the story of a boy turned football sensation who gets coached by his hero, and he also has a brain injury, and his hero is really sadistic, and lots of horrific stuff is happening in Him from 2025.</p> <p>All of this plus documentaries about soccer (or football if you'd prefer) and one documentary on a tennis player, but the rest are all about soccer, aka football, probably because of the World Cup.</p> <p>got a suggestion for the show?: whatsnewtonetflix@gmail.com</p>
