David Morris with the Albuquerque Water Authority

Water. H2O. Agua. The lifeblood of our land, our most precious resource. We use it to hydrate the cells in our bodies, wash the oil and debris from our cloths, dishes, flush our bio waste. Without water, our society would crumble.

We take this infrastructure--the miles of pipings across the city, and the fact that we can expect the faucet to spill safe and drinkable water on demand--for granted.

In our conversation with David Morris, the Communications and Public Affairs Director talks about what it takes to get our water to us and our waste away from us and a bit of the technology we use to treat and send that water back into world.

We really enjoyed our conversation with David and we hope you do, too!

Links:

https://www.abcwua.org/

https://www.abcwua.org/your-drinking-water-san-juan-chama-project/

https://www.ose.state.nm.us/Basins/RioChama/PDF/Final%20Tour%20Bookleet%20Upper%20Chama%20River%20Basin%20Aug%202013.pdf

--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/whats-up-abq/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/whats-up-abq/support
