And then we decided to hit record. Each episode brings real conversations about life in your 40s — marriage, divorce, dating, motherhood, friendship, reinvention, starting over, thriving, and everything in between. Some episodes are reflective. Some are funny. Some are spicy. All of them are honest. We’re not experts. We’re not here to fix your life.    We’ve been to Darius Cooks events before—and had a great time. So when another Phoenix event came up, we bought tickets without thinking twice. Then the day came. No location. No cancellation. No communication. And no day party. That’s when “Darius Cooks” started feeling a whole lot more like “Darius Crooks.” What followed was frustration, emails, refund requests, and a whole lot of “what is going on?” We talk about: Why our previous positive experiences made us trust the event The frustration of receiving zero communication when an event doesn’t happen Why continuing to sell future tickets made the situation even more concerning to us What happens when customer service simply stops responding The difference between an event being disappointing…and paying for something you never receive Why communication can make all the difference when something goes wrong And why, after this experience, we’re officially done spending our money there One of us received a refund fairly quickly.
