The Bible tells us that neither of these things ought to be. Genuine Christians should all have a deep desire to know the truth of Scripture and do the things it commands. All Christians need to grow in both of these areas, what we know and what we do.
Many of us tend to be stronger in one area than the other. That's why we here at FBCW are starting the Know and Do podcast. We'll discuss various areas of Christian growth and how they apply today, like how to properly interpret the Bible and help others do the same.
Understand systems of theology, like God's attributes, the nature of the church, and Jesus' humanity and divinity, and how all these things affect your everyday life. This podcast is for church leaders and teachers, small group facilitators, everyday Christians who want to grow in their faith, and even non-Christians who want a more robust understanding of the Bible.
God made each and every one of us, and He desires that we all know the greatest things about Him and that we do everything that He laid out for our good in the Bible. That's the Know and Do podcast.
In this episode of the Know and Do podcast, we explore how the Holy Spirit speaks and teaches through Scripture, how He guided the early church in its mission, and how believers today can evaluate claims of divine guidance. Drawing from Acts and other passages of Scripture, we consider six important tests for discerning spiritual direction: Scripture, Christology, Ecclesiology, Sanctification, Missionality, and Spiritual Fruit.
Rather than treating personal impressions as unquestionable messages from God, we are reminded of the importance of grounding our understanding in God's Word, pursuing Christlikeness, and seeking wisdom and accountability within the local church.
If you want to hear from God, where should you begin? Open your Bible, pray for the Holy Spirit to illuminate God's truth, read His Word, and remain connected to the church.
The goal is not simply to claim that we have heard from God, but to know God deeply and do the things that bring Him the most glory.

Who is the Holy Spirit?
In this episode of the Know & Do podcast, we go deeper into the biblical teaching about the Holy Spirit and His relationship with Jesus Christ. Who is the Holy Spirit? Is He an impersonal force, a created being, or God Himself? Rightly understanding the Holy Spirit is essential to understanding the one true God and the doctrine of the Trinity.
We explore how God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit work together to accomplish God's purposes. While we cannot fully comprehend the mystery of the Trinity, Scripture reveals important truths about God's nature and the person of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is Eternal — Hebrews 9:14 reveals the Spirit's role in Christ's sacrifice and God's eternal work of redemption.
The Holy Spirit is Omnipresent — Psalm 139:7–10 reminds us that we can never be separated from God's presence. For those who belong to Christ, the Holy Spirit is our ever-present helper.
The Holy Spirit is Omniscient — 1 Corinthians 2:10–11 teaches that the Spirit knows the depths of God and reveals God's wisdom and truth.
The Holy Spirit is Omnipotent — Luke 1:35–38 and Acts 10:38 demonstrate the Spirit's divine power at work in God's redemptive purposes. His power does not promise a life free from pain, but assures us that every circumstance serves God's ultimate, glorious purposes.
The Holy Spirit is Holy — Romans 1:3–4 reminds us that the Spirit is not someone we control or command. He is God, and we are called to follow His holy and good purposes.

Miracles (The Resurrection)
In this episode of the Know and Do podcast, we explore the greatest miracle in history: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Acts 9:32–43 recounts how Peter healed a paralyzed man and raised Tabitha from the dead, but these miracles point to a greater work of God—the resurrection of Christ, the foundation of the Christian faith.
Why should we believe that Jesus rose from the dead? What evidence supports the resurrection, and why do some people reject it while others embrace it? We examine historical evidence, Scripture's testimony, the empty tomb, and the transformation of Jesus’ disciples to see why the resurrection is both credible and essential to the Christian faith.
But the resurrection is more than a historical question. If Jesus truly conquered death, His resurrection demands a response. We consider how pride, sin, indifference, and the cost of following Christ can shape our willingness to believe, and why Jesus' hope is worth surrendering everything.

I. Why do people listen at all?

B. Gary Habermas’ Minimal facts:
1. Jesus died by crucifixion.
2. He was buried.
3. His death caused the disciples to despair and lose hope.
4. The tomb was empty. (see below)
5. The disciples had experiences which they believed were literal appearances of the risen Jesus.
6. The disciples were transformed from doubters to bold proclaimers
7. The resurrection was the central message.
8. They preached the message of Jesus’ resurrection in Jerusalem.
9. The Church was born and grew.
10. Orthodox Jews who believed in Christ made Sunday their primary day of worship.
11. James (the family skeptic) was converted to the faith when he saw the resurrected Jesus.
12. Paul (the skeptic) was converted to the faith.
C. William Lane Craig’s Empty tomb:
1. The empty tomb was assumed in the teaching of the apostles.
2. The site of Jesus’ tomb was well-known. It would have been easy to prove that it wasn’t empty.
3. The account of the empty tomb was written much too early to have been a legend.
4. The story of the empty tomb is simple. It didn’t need to be inflated with some grandiose theological lightshow. The story is simply that it was empty.
5. If someone had made it up, they would have picked more credible witnesses than the women.
6. There was no early question in the first century as to whether or not the body was gone. The only question was “Where did it go?”
