WTF!? Episode 4 - Mild Monk
On this week's episode of What the Foster!? I interviewed San Jose based artist Mild Monk. Mild Monk (Henry Stein) launched his music career back in 2017 with his first digital record ‘Love’. Since then he has released an array of lo-fi synth, electric guitar driven singles, including his most recent single 'Time Alone'. Mild Monk is all the best parts of your favorite alternative pop artists - his sound comparable to artists like mk.gee, Benny Sings, and FKJ. Listen to us chat about the intersection of culture and music, the writing of his single Time Alone, and our favorite Tiny Desk episodes.

WTF!? Episode 3 - Hammydown
On Episode 3 of What the Foster!? I had the honor of interviewing one of my favorite artists Hammydown. Hammydown (also known as Abbie Morin) released their debut EP Pizzaface back in July 2017. Their sound is a harmonious mix of 90s alternative rock, pop and indie. Morin is also best known for being a part of the pop rock band Caroline Rose, lending their talents on guitar, synth, and backup vocals.

WTF!? Episode 2 - Martronimous + TH/EM
On Episode 2 of WTF!? I interviewed West Philadelphia-based musicians Martronimous (Marty Gottlieb-Hollis) and TH/EM (Emma Rutenberg). Martronimous is a trumpet player and producer. Their sound is a seamless infusion of hip-hip, jazz and electronic music, exemplified perfectly in their debut EP “Incompleteness” Volume 1 released in 2019. Volume 2, released just this year, is home to the colorful track “Take My Time” which features the breezy and soulful voice of TH/EM. In addition to "Take My Time", TH/EM has also lent their voice to singles such as, "Midnight" co-written by TH/EM and Samara Bradley.
