What the Pig Promised

About What the Pig Promised

A surreal audio drama about a village caught in a loop it can't remember, a sky without stars, and the strange lives drawn into its orbit. In Gratch Hollow, a dying stranger wakes to the same violent moment again and again. A pig-man named Jon, hulking and powerful, offers comfort to those who need it. The seamstress tells stories of constellations no one has seen. And a young girl named Sara studies equations that could rewire all of time. Many of their truths never happened. What The Pig Promised - Season 1 Trailer

It's a slow-burn, kinda sci-fi, kinda mystery drama… with its own sense of humor (which, coincidentally, is much like mine). It's about time troubles. About "mathmagics," a warrior nun, and an amnesiac who loves her. (Her love language may, in fact, be blunt force trauma. He stands by this.) It's about constellations and their legends guiding a world without stars, and the people trying to record them for the future. It's about the price you pay for the wrong decision, and a gentle soul who would never check the cost. It’s a story about making impossible choices when no one will know the sacrifice you made for them. If you like stories that take their time and trust you to hold on, this might be your thing. voiceovernerd.com/wtpp (http://voiceovernerd.com/wtpp) patreon.com//wtpp (https://www.patreon.com/c/wtpp) Written, performed, and produced by Shawn Fitzmaurice. Cautionary Bindings: A preserved record from the Stitched Chronicles of Gratch Hollow.

“Faith festers when it feeds on the faithful.” — Brother Halvor From the Stitched Chronicles of Gratch Hollow. Ilra Wint records a warning she was taught long before she understood it — followed by two letters that explain why she keeps it. A son writes with calm conviction about the Constant, about stillness, about sacrifice. A father answers with what those words actually cost. This is a short archival fragment from What the Pig Promised: belief as it sounds, and belief as it behaves. Listener discretion advised. (Note to listeners, despite it's placement, this is a fictional work, and not a religious podcast)
