Broken Systems, Burnout & Your Punk Rock Moment with Taylor Kwitny
"It's the way we've always done it" might be the most expensive sentence in your business.
Brittany talks with Taylor Kwitny, founder of Shadow Shift Operations, about the hidden cost of broken systems. Taylor has spent his career in biotech and manufacturing operations, and he explains why "stay in your lane" is the most dangerous line in the workplace, why leaders should stop applauding the person who stayed until 2 a.m. and start rewarding the person who fixes the system, what WWII survivorship bias teaches us about busy work, and how one quality deviation can cost $40,000. His advice: attack the problem, not the people, and find your punk rock moment.
Guest: Taylor Kwitny, Shadow Shift Operations

They talk about what government contracting really involves, why great service means saving clients time instead of billing it, the "fire me" philosophy behind every engagement, and how buying a manufacturing company in the middle of a lawsuit and COVID taught them that entrepreneurship comes down to one thing: solve a problem, then the next one.
