A grief podcast for widows and anyone navigating the loss of a spouse. Real stories of love, loss, and healing after the sudden death of a husband β told one honest chapter at a time.
Before there was grief, there was Tim. Steady, gentle, and full of love.
The kind of man who made coffee every morning even though he never drank a single cup. Who brought flowers home every payday just to brighten her day. Who had a way of making ordinary life feel like more than enough.
Then came the diagnosis. Four weeks later, he was gone.
When Goodbye Comes Too Early is a memoir podcast by LTP Hope, author, widow, and grief survivor, sharing the true story of love, loss, and learning to breathe again. Each episode walks through a real chapter of her journey, from the calm before the storm to the final moments and the long road of healing that follows.
This is not a podcast about moving on. It is about carrying love forward.
For anyone grieving a spouse, coping with sudden loss, navigating life as a widow, or simply searching for proof that love survives even the hardest goodbye.

Episode 4: Small Signs of Hope After Loss (They Donβt Erase the Grief)
There is a kind of hope that comes after loss that nobody prepares you for. It does not feel like relief. It feels like a thirty-second window where the weight lifts slightly, and then guilt moves in right behind it. Because how are you allowed to feel hope when the person you lost is still gone?
In this episode I talk about what hope actually looked like for me after losing my husband. The small moments I almost dismissed. Why trusting them felt dangerous. What to do when hope has not shown up for you yet. And the shift that happened when I finally stopped explaining those moments away and just let them stay.
Hope after loss does not erase grief. It just learns to live beside it. And knowing the difference changes everything.
If you are grieving the loss of a spouse or someone deeply loved and you are not sure what to do with the small, fragile moments of warmth that show up uninvited, this episode is for you.

Grief Therapy Taught Me Something I Didn't Expect
There is a kind of guilt nobody warns you about in grief. The guilt of laughing at a good memory. The flinch that comes right after a moment of warmth, like joy is a betrayal of the person you lost.
It was a grief therapist who finally explained why that happens, and why it is not true. That conversation changed how I moved through the months that followed.
In this episode I talk about how healing actually started for me after losing my husband. The small rituals that held me together on the hardest days. The journal entries that were only two lines. The moment I stopped apologizing for my own grief. And what it actually feels like to be healing when you cannot see it from the inside.
If you are somewhere in the middle of loss and you are not sure if what you are feeling counts as progress, this one is for you. You are on the road. Even today.

Functioning While Grieving: How I Kept Showing Up After Losing My Husband.
Nobody warns you about this part of grief.
Not the crying. Not the big anniversaries. This part. The part where you still have to pay bills and answer emails and go to the grocery store, while carrying something so heavy you can barely breathe.
After losing my husband Tim, I learned that functioning and healing are two very different things. Functioning is what comes first. And it is so much harder than it looks.
In this episode I talk about what grief actually looks like when you are still showing up to your life. Why people misread it as moving on. The gap between looking okay on the outside and being completely unsteady on the inside. And the three things that genuinely helped me keep going when getting through one day was the most I could do.
If you are a widow or widower trying to survive the day. If you are grieving the loss of a spouse and wondering why it still feels this hard. If you have been told you look like you are doing better and it made you want to scream. This episode is for you.
Survival is always the first part of the story.
