She has been practicing and teaching Reiki, a Japanese energy healing system, since 2006, offering private sessions and classes and providing free Reiki services to people experiencing homelessness, dementia, and terminal illness. In 2011, Ali earned her master's degree in Holistic Health from St. Catherine University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She began guiding yoga and meditation classes in 2015, earning additional certifications in Yoga for Cancer Care, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Yoga for 12-Step Recovery. She became a certified Peer Recovery Specialist in Wisconsin from 2020-2022 and actively volunteers in her local sober community!
