The God who sees, also sends.
Exodus begins with a God who refuses to look away from pain.
He sees His people's oppression. He hears their cries. And He comes down — not with a plan from a distance, but with rescue up close.
Then God calls Moses. Not because Moses was ready, strong, or willing — but because God's rescue has always included His people's participation.
The same God who sees you in your need is the God who sends you to bring His freedom to someone else.
Next Steps:
1. Ask yourself honestly: do I believe God sees what I'm carrying right now?
2. Identify one place of need, injustice, or darkness God may be sending you into this week.

Formation Conversation Ep. 17 - Jerry
In this Formation Conversation, Jerry talks about what he calls a season of remixing, familiar themes played in a different key. He takes us to India, where a pastor named Matthew stopped the church service to pull him out of the back row, and where a line of people formed in front of him asking him to lay hands on them and pray. He was convinced they had the wrong man.
"In my mind, I'm saying you have no idea who you are asking to pray for you," he says.
Standing in the middle of that floor, he heard one question, loudly. Why did you come here? He prayed for the woman in front of him. Then five people. Then twenty. That moment reset the rest of the trip and a good deal of what came after it.
Jerry also talks honestly about the parts that are harder to say out loud. Years of depreciating his own value. Three layoffs in two years with a newborn son who had special needs. Learning, through the people at the VA, that asking for help is wisdom and not weakness. And the advocacy work he does now alongside veterans organizations.
If you are struggling, you do not have to carry it alone.
