So left to make their own decisions about who lives and who dies, they just decide that as long as someone dies, even if it's the wrong someone, that's good enough for them. Kind of a low bar. Right. I think Shakespeare is telling a story about what can happen when political leaders use violence to achieve their goals. Eventually, those goals lose all of their meaning and then violence becomes the only goal. […]
