So at the age of 24, Skinner enrolled in psychology at Harvard University and found a like-minded mentor in William Kosher, who was the chair of the new physiology department. Kosher was considered a bit rebellious. which I think a lot of psychologists at the time, the really fun ones were a little bit rebellious, you know what I'm saying? And believed in studying the, quote, whole organism, believed in studying the whole organism instead of focusing on and placing exclusive importance on individual components. He was happy to let students experiment and follow their hunches. […]
