Episode 3a - Ari

The snow is falling in Oslo, thick and soft, muting the city to a quiet hum. Rose stands on the corner, boots sinking into fresh powder, her breath curling into the cold night air. Behind her, the glow of Dr. Jekyll’s bar spills into the street. Inside—Ari, the Norwegian bartender with the crooked smile, the one who made her feel something she thought was gone forever. Ahead of her: the path to her hotel, and the solitude of her own company.

In this path, she turns back.

What happens next is not about falling in love. It’s about the first time she lets someone else cross the invisible line her grief built around her body. It’s about the first kiss that doesn’t taste like loss, the first touch that makes her muscles remember how to melt, the first moment she realises she can want again without erasing the man she lost.

Set against the moody, intimate backdrop of a closed bar in Oslo’s Old Town, this slow-burn encounter is tender, charged, and electric. Ari’s touch isn’t a rush toward conquest, it’s a steady, deliberate reminder that she is still here, still alive, still worthy of being seen. From the warmth of his palms on her cheeks to the deliberate way he watches her reactions, every movement becomes a conversation without words.

But with new heat comes complexity. Alongside the glee of rediscovery, Rose feels the whisper of guilt. Can grief and desire live in the same body without tearing it apart? Can you hold on to love lost while opening the door to something new? This is not just a physical encounter, it’s the unravelling of silence, the choice to breathe without armour, even for a single night.

This is Widow on Fire, an interactive storytelling experience where grief meets desire, where intimacy is explored in all its messy, human truth, and where you, the listener, decide the path Rose takes. Each choice leads to a different chapter. Each path holds something the other does not.

If you voted in Episode 2 for Rose to walk away into self-discovery, that path remains behind the curtain for now, you’ll have to wait for the book release at the end of this series to see how it unfolds.

Follow this podcast so you never miss a chapter, new episodes release every 14 days, and be sure to check the poll at the end of each one to decide what happens next.

For more behind-the-scenes content, listener polls, and glimpses into the writing process, join us on Instagram at @widowonfirepod. Episode 2 - Flirting with Fire

After a year of aching silence, Rose doesn’t go searching for desire, desire finds her.

Still reeling from the weight of grief, she steps into a quiet Oslo bar on a snowy winter night. What she expects is a drink. What she finds is Ari: a young Norwegian bartender with a crooked smile, smooth hands, and eyes that sparkle like he's always on the edge of a very good joke.

What follows is not just flirtation. It’s something more dangerous. Something more alive.

This episode is where grief meets hunger.
Where memory dances with lust.
And where Rose begins to wonder, can desire exist beside sorrow?

A year after Nate’s death, Rose feels the return of something she thought was gone forever: longing.

A red lipstick. A strong drink. A glance held a little too long.

And suddenly, her skin remembers what it means to want again.

Ari doesn’t ask for anything. But his presence, casual, magnetic, utterly grounded, pulls her toward a choice she didn’t know she’d have to make. To turn back. Or to walk away.

And now, dear listener… the choice is yours.

At the end of the episode, you’ll be asked to vote:
→ Does Rose follow the firelight and return to Ari for a night that may awaken her body again?
→ Or does she walk into the Oslo night alone, choosing solitude, self-discovery, and the quiet permission to feel?

Your vote decides the next chapter.

This is not a love story like you’ve heard before.
But it is a love story.
The kind that asks more questions than it answers.
The kind that lives in the grey between grief and desire.
The kind that invites you to choose.

🎧 Listen now and vote in the Spotify poll to shape Rose’s journey.

—

Widow on Fire is a cinematic, narrative podcast blending raw emotion, sensual storytelling, and choose-your-own-path intimacy. Episode 1 - Falling into Fire

Grief doesn’t always feel like sadness. Sometimes, it feels like lust.

This is the beginning of Widow on Fire; a raw, intimate narrative podcast blending erotic storytelling, grief, and personal transformation. In this debut episode, we meet Rose, a 30-something widow who books a one-way ticket to Oslo. Not to chase the Northern Lights. But to disappear.

Thirteen months after the death of her beloved husband Nate, Rose is splintered, exhausted, and haunted by a new sensation no one warned her about: a burning, all-consuming hunger for touch. A desire that feels intrusive, inappropriate, and alive. They call it widow fire and this is what it feels like.

Narrated by Montgomery Andrews, part-philosopher and part-confidant, this story is more than a journey of healing. It’s an honest exploration of sex after loss, widowhood, female desire, and the moment your body starts to wake up while your heart is still broken.

In this first chapter, Rose finds a video on her phone: one Nate secretly recorded before he died. His final message ignites something unexpected and gives her permission to feel again. What follows is not your typical grief story. And certainly not your typical love story.

What listeners are saying: “I’ve never heard grief and lust spoken about so honestly.”
“It made me cry, then blush, then feel seen.”
“It’s like Eat, Pray, Love meets Normal People with fire.”

Why listen? Because nobody talks about the confusing overlap between longing and loss. Because you’re tired of tidy grief stories. Because you want to feel something again and maybe you're wondering if you're allowed to.

Who it’s for? Anyone who has lost someone. Anyone reawakening to their body. Anyone who’s ever felt torn between memory and desire. Women navigating identity after heartbreak. Listeners craving emotional storytelling with sensual honesty.

Next up: Episode 2 – Flirting in the Firelight
Rose visits a mysterious Oslo bar and meets Ari, a bartender who makes her laugh, blush and wonder what it means to want again. Then… she must choose: walk back into the snow, or toward the fire. Which way would you turn?

Widow on Fire is a scripted, immersive podcast. New episodes drop every 14 days, with choices that take the story in bold directions.
