Neben Geschäften, Kneipen und Restaurants befindet sich auch das „Lokal“ im Wiesenviertel, ein Ort zur Entwicklung kleiner und großer Projekte, für Begegnung, zum Experimentieren, für Veranstaltungen und Workshops – kurz: Ein Wohn- und Arbeitszimmer mitten im Viertel. Dort nehmen wir auch unsere Podcasts mit Menschen aus dem Viertel auf. Wir stellen Initiativen und Veranstaltungen vor. Unser Podcast wurde bis Ende 2023 im Rahmen des Projekts „Kreativ.Quartiere Ruhr“ der E-C-C-E mit Mitteln des MKW NRW.

Netzwerk Nachbarschaftshilfe

Das Netzwerk Nachbarschaftshilfe ist eine Plattform, die dabei hilft soziales Engagement für ältere Menschen und andere Hilfsbedürftige in Witten zu organisieren. Pflegebedürftigkeit entsteht aber nicht nur im Alter, sondern kann Menschen und ihre Angehörigen in allen Lebensphasen betreffen. Ein Team aus Freiwilligen will Hilfsbedürftige und Pflegebedürftige mit Jüngeren vernetzen. Ihre Anlaufstelle ist das lokal. des Wiesenviertel e.V. in der Wiesenstraße in Witten.

Wiesenviertelfest 2023

Das Wiesenviertelfest findet am Samstag, 29. Juli 2023 wieder in Witten statt. Im Wiesenviertel-Podcast stellt Johannes Heiming das Festivalprogramm vor. Auf zwei Bühnen geben zehn Musiker*innen ihre Musik zum Besten. Neben der Musik gibt es zahlreiche Streetfood-Stände und einen Kunstmarkt. Zwischen den Ständen stellen Initiativen aus Witten ihre Projekte vor. Johannes Heiming berichtet, dass auch Kinder auf ihre Kosten kommen. Zahlreiche Workshops und Mitmach-Aktionen für Kinder stehen auf dem Plan.

Netzwerktreffen der Kreativ.Quartiere Ruhr in Witten

Das 16. Netzwerktreffen der Kreativ.Quartiere Ruhr fand am 10. Mai 2023 in Witten statt. Künstler und Künstlerinnen, Kreative, sowie kulturelle und kommunale Akteure und Akteurinnen aus dem ganzen Ruhrgebiet nutzen die Möglichkeit zum Austausch. Die etwa 60 Besucher*innen nahmen an einem Rundgang durch die Wittener Innenstadt teil. Im Podcast wagen wir mit Joscha Denzel und Anna Hürten einen Rückblick auf das Treffen. Zu Wort kommen auch viele Besucher*innen aber auch Kassandra Kanthak, Projektleitung Kreativ.Quartiere Ruhr von der E-C-C-E.
