   Job Chapter 2:7-10 - When Pain Reaches the Body

   Job 2:7–10 (KJV) What happens when the suffering you’ve experienced reaches beyond your circumstances and begins affecting your physical body? In this episode, we examine Job’s painful affliction, his wife’s response to their suffering, and Job’s refusal to curse God. Through this passage, we explore the difference between acknowledging our pain and turning away from God. Job did not pretend that his suffering was easy, but he continued to hold on to his integrity.

   Job 2:1–6 (KJV) What happens when you’ve already endured tremendous loss, yet another test is permitted? In this episode, we return to the heavenly conversation between God and Satan. Despite everything Job had lost, he continued holding fast to his integrity. Satan challenged his faithfulness once again, this time seeking permission to afflict his physical body. In this episode, we walk through the devastating losses Job experienced in a single day—his possessions, his servants, and his ten children. Yet in the midst of unimaginable grief, Job fell to the ground and worshipped. Sometimes loss reveals a depth of dependence on God that we never knew before.
